A Nation in One Day

Mother's Day this year is the day Israel became a nation as prophesied, May 14th 1948. A day that will always be remembered for its fulfilled promise from God that "a nation would be born in one day." Isaiah

75 years Israel has been a nation, by a miracle of God.

So many churches didn't recognize this wonderful fulfillment of prophecy, we were not taught what was happening and how exciting it was.

I feel no need to be remembered as a mother but I love remembering the miracle of Israel when the Jews came back into the land in unbelief but will turn to Christ after heavy losses. The only nation ever in the history of the world in which every person will turn to Christ.

My husband and I stood in the room where Ben Gurian slammed the gavel down declaring Israel a nation in TEL-AVIV. It was chilling as we pondered the miracle that happened there so many years ago.

God never forgets a promise!!!!!

Azar the Rescuer

"Azar", is the word in Hebrew for "helpmate" which means "rescuer", the woman was not a servant she was a helper to her husband, directing him as a coach would direct a ball team.
This idea of "helpmate" has been completely misunderstood by our Christian culture. Women were given a very dynamic and important role in the lives of their husbands to help them walk the walk of faith. However, in our culture men have been trained to resist and resent input from their wives.
The Bible says that it was not good that man should be alone because he lacked something that the woman had that the man needed to depend on her for counsel.
Of course, since the fall of man everything became perverted, the principles of God have been misused and abused by those who would rather think with their own mind than seek the mind of Christ.
We are living in the end of the end times in which many if not most of the Biblical principles of God have been misunderstood and abused by a church full of apostate pretenders. Some know the Word of God but distort what God said to make it fit their narcissistic self-serving view.
It is the natural man who wants to use and abuse others for their own gain. It is a godly man who seeks to be a servant to all as well as having wisdom rather than knowledge only.
Every born-again believer is a servant to everyone else. No one has servants but does not serve. Submission is for all to all.
There is a leader in the family, this is the man, it is natural leadership given to them by God to lead by example and teaching, it has nothing to do with forcing, coercing, demeaning, or diminishing others for his own purposes.
The leadership of the man is not necessarily appointed, it is natural like the pecking order with animals. The man is the leader naturally, however, how he leads depends on his spiritual condition. If he is lost without salvation he will lead the way of the world. Even if the mother tries to share the gospel with the children they are more likely to follow Dad because he is the natural leader.
If the man is godly and leads in the way of Christ, the children are more likely to become Christians themselves. I say "likely" because of course there are exceptions to every rule.
God made man the leader, not the dictator or oppressor and He made the woman to desire to follow the husband. Problems come when the man will not lead or the woman will not follow.
The choice to follow her husband is not the husband's business, it is her choice to follow Christ or not to follow Christ through respect for her husband's leadership. Often the woman does not follow because the man is not loving his wife the way Christ loves the church.
Women are hard-wired to desire to be protected and cherished as the weaker vessel, however, when the man will not see her as valued he will foster frustration in her.
Men, this is for you, it is easy for you to damage your bride with harsh words, selfishness, and disrespect because she is emotionally predisposed to love and emotions.
Women, a man is more likely to love us when we see him as our life priority.
A man should love his wife like Christ loved the church no matter how the wife acts. And, the woman should love Christ first and then her husband as the leader no matter how he acts.
We are not responsible for how someone else acts and we are not given a pass to be mean and rude when they do not act as they should. Tell the truth and be honest yes, but with reconciliation in mind not punishment.
Ephesians 5:24-26 "…24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her 26to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,…"
This passage presupposes that man is following Christ. If the man is not following Christ then the woman must follow Christ even if the man will not and obey Christ instead of her husband.
The leading of the husband has to do with spiritual and Biblical matters not when he is disobeying God. The story of Abigail in the Bible is a good example of what I am saying here.
1 Samuel 25
If men would obey God and love their wives as they should and women would obey God in supporting her husband when he is obeying God, then there would be no divorce.
A man can follow Christ even if the woman will not and a woman can follow Christ even if the husband will not, the key is we have a choice to obey Christ or the world.

Self Love is a Destroyer of Relationships

Those who are addicted to feeling good about themselves will never love Christ or anyone else.

They will Punish you for not being them.

The world without Christ will punish you if you are not like they are, do what they do and enjoy the things they enjoy. They will hate you for loving Christ and they will hate you for your boundaries as you seek to have godly companions. They will even mock you whenever you want to go deeper into the Word of God.
1 Corinthians 2:13-15 "…13 And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 14 The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment."
John 14:17
"the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you."
1 Corinthians 1:18
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
1 Corinthians 1:21
"For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe."
1 Corinthians 1:23
"but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,"
1 Corinthians 1:25
"For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength."
