Failure the Best Teacher

Failure is the best teacher, without it, there is no growth or change. However, there is a condition, that is the failure must be admitted with an attitude of fixing and redeeming what was wrong.
Without confession of failure or sin, the is no growth.
Romans 8:28
"28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
Those who are pretending to be living a perfect life without trials will not learn from their trials. In fact, those who are pretending are continually blaming others for their own missteps and mishaps. The more they deny the truth the more they regress in their walk. And, continual regression is a sign that someone was never born-again.
God disciplines those who belong to Him so that they learn to hate their own sin and the consequences of it. We do not do what we hate.
Hebrews 12:5-7 "5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?…"
Those who despise the chastening of the Lord or anyone else sent by the Lord to help with that chastening, are foolish and will not learn right thinking and right ways until they can confess to learn.
Proverbs 12:1-2 "1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. 2 The good man obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns a man who devises evil.…"
1 John 1:9
"9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
The weaker we are the harder it is to confess our sin because pride rules a stubborn heart. The stronger we are the easier it is to confess because we know what blessings come from obeying and learning. There is a cleansing of the conscience after confession. There is no cleansing of the conscience when there is resistance to confessing, even if just for a bad attitude.
I have seen many people in my life who resisted correction for no other reason except that someone corrected them. They didn't learn and they grew worse for their stubbornness. It is astounding how many people become worse in their aging years because they resisted for so long in their younger years that their hearts became like stone.
Psalm 50:17
For you hate My instruction and cast My words behind you.
Proverbs 5:12
and you will say, "How I hated discipline, and my heart despised reproof!
Proverbs 9:7-8
"Whoever corrects a scoffer gets himself abuse, and he who reproves a wicked man incurs injury. Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you."
Proverbs 29:9
"If a wise man has an argument with a fool, the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet."
I don't know about you but I want to grow stronger, wiser and more obedient to God in my elder years. May He work a work in all of us so that we will hear; "well done good and faithful servant."

The Years of the Greatest Deceptions of the Entire Existence of the World

Matthew 24:24 "For false christs and false prophets will arise and will provide great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect."
I would say that there are many false teachers who spread their lies in the Bible colleges and seminaries, able to promote their false ideas to vulnerable men who think they should be taught by men instead of the Holy Spirit.
Religion is the mark of this end-times mentality, not a relationship with Christ. I cannot tell you how many times someone looked at me sideways because I suggested they seek and trust in the Holy Spirit instead of men.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 "
We are living in the days of Matthew 24 and 2 Timothy 3 in which the deception will be so great that even the people who say they are Christians will be fooled.
What are they fooled about? They have plugged into and accepted much false media that claims to be "conservative." They believe what people on the internet are saying without any real evidence.
Photos can be altered to make something appear to be true when it is trickery, untruth and insincerity. Believers are arguing and fighting over things they have been fed that are not at all true. Many Christians are feeling superior to others for what they think they know.
Craftiness, disinformation, lying, deceitfulness, duplicity and many other words we could list that shows an entire culture, worldwide, full of this deception. It is so clever that even those who would normally have a good sense about God's Word have swallowed hook, line, and sinker the lies. Once someone has accepted these lies they cannot listen to the truth. The stubbornness to remain intelligent in their own minds leaves no room for humility to ask God what He thinks about these things.
Some of these deceptions are the lie of the "nephilim", divorce and remarriage, false forgiveness, false repentance, and idolatry in trusting people instead of the Holy Spirit. Enjoying the man-made holidays pretending they are about God, accepting wrong interpretations of scripture because they fit with cultural thinking.
The deception is so intense that there is little truth left as people pridefully follow ideas they think are scriptural but instead are devilish.
The great deception is here and has affected everyone, the only way to survive in our walk with Christ is to ignore all the noise of false news that we cannot prove and spend much time in the Word of God under the tutelage of the Holy Spirit.
Information, exercise, food, money and family are the end times gods. These are the idols Christians are worshiping. We can expect the world to be caught up in these idols but it should not be in the church.
Do not be fooled, ask the Holy Spirit to remove from your heart anything that does not further the gospel and is not edifying to the body of Christ.
Afterall, these last days alternative news sources are very often distractions from our calling and our continual verbiage about them detracts from our life as a believer who walks by faith.
2 Corinthians 5:6-8 "…6 Therefore we are always confident, although we know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, then, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.…"
To whine and complain about the evil in the world is to not trust in Christ and His prophesy. He told us it would be like this and that we were to keep ourselves from getting all caught up in it.
Isn't it better to explain to an unbeliever why we have hope even with all that is going on in the world than for them to see us lamenting the same way they do?
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Those Who Died in Christ
13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as indeed the rest of mankind do, who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead, so also God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep [b]through Jesus.
15 For we say this to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore, comfort one another with these words."
We know this world is not all there is and those who have trusted Christ will live on into another glorious realm of perfection and love with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There can be no greater hope than this. Hallelujah!

End Times Apostasy

If anyone is using the term "Pastor" with a capital "P" as though elevating a man above other men then they are incorrectly using the word.
The word pastor means "shepherded" charged with teaching and leading by example. This person has no authority over anyone, he is a messenger and oversees the people to bring them truth, not to be superior to them or have dominance over them.
No man is greater than another man, this would make the Holy Spirit silent in some believers but active in others. The Holy Spirit is active in every born-again believer, man or woman.
The roles of the man are different than the roles of the woman but none is superior to the other. Each role was given by God for His purposes and according to our God-given talents within our genders.
When we elevate a person above the Holy Spirit we are giving that person pre-eminence, which belongs only to God.
Preeminence means to be the first and final authority. First in everything is Christ Jesus. No man can override this in any born-again believer.
Colossians 1:18
"18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy."
John 1:9
"9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world." That is Jesus Christ!
Colossians 1:15-17
"15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation:
16 for by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.
17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together."
Among the brethren many years ago there were no one-man-paid-pastor systems, they recognized that Christ is the only leader of the church everyone else is led by Him in worship at the Lord's supper every week. All the men participated in leading. The teachers at the second part of the gathering taught and others participated as led by the Holy Spirit.
No man dominated the gathering, the Holy Spirit dominated as He led men to speak, pray, and ask for a song. In the teaching the Holy Spirit led men to add to the leader's talk or correct if necessary, no man was silenced by false authority.
It was a beautiful thing, edifying to all, and a blessing to the Lord because He was the focus of all that occurred within the gathering. Men were not quoted as we see often now, men were not elevated it was all about God's word.
Nowadays so many people say they are "Bible-believing" but they use it like an amulet, not caring if everything they are saying and doing is supported by the Scriptures. In fact, more of the Bible is violated in the gatherings today than is obeyed and anyone who attempts to correct the wrong teaching is silenced and even removed.
The Holy Spirit is not the one leading in the gatherings today, they are led by men full of pride and inculcated with much human teaching.
2 Timothy 4:2-4 "…2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears, they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."
We are living in a time of myths, the myths are elevated above the Word of God, and those who believe them are hostile to the Word of God.
Isaiah 30:10
"10 Who say to the seers, “You must not see visions”;
And to the prophets, “You must not prophesy the truth to us.
Speak to us [a]pleasant words,
Prophesy illusions."
Jude 1:17-19 "17 But you, beloved, remember what was foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ 18 when they said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow after their own ungodly desires.” 19 These are the ones who cause divisions, who are worldly and devoid of the Spirit."
We are living in the last days when there is very little faith in Christ upon the earth. It will not get better but we can be growing and learning in spite of the opposition against us.
2 Thessalonians 2:10 "and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved."
We do not have to follow the culture and we do not need many friends to validate us. Since we have Jesus Christ living in us we can continue in the truth, becoming stronger as we go because we will not be caving under the pressure of the world around us to give up the truth to be accepted by others.
Christ is everything and He is all we need. We love and enjoy the brethren but Christ always comes first in everything.
Proverbs 18:24
"24 A man of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
