What is Coming Next?

Hang on to Jesus Christ believers, we are in for a bumpy ride!

Prayer has no Power, Only God Does

Prayer is not powerful as some believe. It is God who is powerful and He only answers those who pray in His Son's name, Jesus Christ.

The prosperity preachers believe prayer all by itself works to get you what you want. It a power of the mind worship. they believe it doesn't matter which god you choose ultimately you are the god that makes things happen.

It matters to whom you pray. If not to the one true God in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, then your prayers fall to the ground without power.

And, God will only answer if you ask in His will.

1 John 5:13-15 "13 I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.…"

Jeremiah 29:12-14 "…12 Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and I will restore you from captivity and gather you from all the nations and places to which I have banished you, declares the LORD. I will restore you to the place from which I sent you into exile."

God will not answer the prayers of those who choose a god of their own imagination.

Using the World Methods Perverts the Message

Why do some born again believers think it is alright to cuss like drunken sailors or show filthy pictures merely because they are telling the truth?

Perhaps this is why so many Christians have accepted politicians who talk like this, they think it's not a problem.

Ephesians 5:3
"3 But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints;"

Ephesians 4:29
"29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear."

I will unfriend anyone using filthy language or showing filthy pictures. It doesn't matter to me that they think they are exposing evil. I have no need nor do I want to see these things.

Showing these things are not exposing evil, they can do that with a few words carefully chosen. What they are doing is exposing believers to the wickedness that they should avoid seeing.

2 Peter 1:4
"By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire."

Romans 12:2
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

We are Strangers in a Foreign Land

A Professor at DTS said this:

"Those of us who will follow Christ and His word, as opposed to the rising emphasis upon religious experience, will increasingly become a smaller group until one day we will be on the outside of the American Evangelical church looking in."

Does anyone else feel this way? I sure do, so many people are focused on politics, pleasure, happiness, and fun there doesn't seem to be any room for learning the heart of God.

The American Christian culture is against all the right things that God is against, but they have lost their first love.

Revelation 3:14-22 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Message to Laodicea
14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:

The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the [a]Beginning of the creation of God, says this:

Church at Ephesus
Revelation 2:2-7 "2 ‘I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false;
3 and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary.
4 But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
5 Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent.

Church at Laodicea
Revelation 3:15 ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.
16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.
17 Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,
18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.
19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
21 He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

It is possible for a church to be against and for all the right things according to God's word but have lost their first love, which is a focus on Jesus Christ entirely.

Even unsaved conservatives are against the same things we are against and for the same things we are for but they aren't saved, they do not recognize Jesus Christ as their Savior. Often you will hear them say they believe in God but they do not care about obeying Him. They just happen to be conservative in the way they think, the old fashioned morality based on good works.

Galatians 2:15-16 "…15 We who are Jews by birth and not Gentile ‘sinners’ 16 know that a man is not justified by works of the Law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law, because by works of the Law no one will be justified. "

Galatians 3:24
"So the Law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith."
