Asking God for Wisdom

There are so many wrong beliefs in the modern church, sometimes it's overwhelming addressing all of it. So I will say, "just ask God." If we want to know He will tell us.

The Wicked Separate Friends

Proverbs 16:28
"A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends."

Proverbs 29:22
"A man of wrath stirs up strife, and one given to anger causes much transgression."

Proverbs 22:10-11 " 10 Drive out the scoffer, and contention will go out, Even strife and dishonor will cease. 11 He who loves purity of heart And whose speech is gracious, the king is his friend.…"

Signs or Faith, Choose

When someone is looking for signs it is itself a sign of their lack of faith. When we trust Christ all we need is in the Bible. Our faith causes us to believe what God already said without further signs.

Matthew 16:4
"4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed."

Authentic Christianity or Pretend

The narcissist must construct an elevated false self because they know in their heart how empty and sinful they are. Rather than submit to Christ and become a new creation, they choose to remain shameful and evil while hiding the real them through a phony persona.

Anyone who is authentic is a threat to the narcissist. Since everything the narcissist does is based on the false self, the feelings oriented persona, they are deeply invested in maintaining an outward appearance of self righteousness to hide their true inner self, one deeply controlled by sin.

Whenever you meet a trophy family in which there never seem to be any struggles or admission of guilt on any level, you are witnessing the false persona of a narcissist group. Sometimes entire families are this way because their example have been parents who train them how to think, feel and act to maintain elevation in all relationships as well as a sanitized appearance.

Narcissists are hiding much sin on the inside, they rage at challenges because they cannot tolerate any suggestion that they may be wrong about something. They will manipulate, gaslight and intimidate those they think know who they really are inside.

Everything all the time is a challenge, an event to win at all costs. They are wrong frequently because their thinking is always tainted with false feelings and the unrealistic elevated view of self.

Proverbs 12:15-16 "15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But a wise man is he who listens to counsel. 16 A fool's anger is known at once, But a prudent man conceals dishonor.…"

Narcissists are so empty inside that they need continual accolades from others to feel any sense of purpose or meaning.

When we are born again after realizing what sinful creatures we are, we can openly and honestly express ourselves in truth, truth does not intimidate us. The born again believer knows what they are and that Christ is the only good thing in them, therefore there is no need to pretend something we are not.

Authentic believers don't have to lie to maintain an image, or dismiss others to elevate self, they can move through life in the freedom of honesty and integrity without shame. The shame of their sin was left at the cross covered in the blood of Christ.

Sadly the narcissist does not have this freedom in Christ, they are operating completely from the stand point of controlling their own destiny, while the born again believer depends on the Lord to carry them through, teach them lessons and grow them in holiness.

1 Peter 2:1-8 "2 Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander,
2 like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,
3 if you have tasted [h]the kindness of the Lord.
4 And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,
5 you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 For this is contained in Scripture:
“Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone,
And he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.”
7 This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve,
“The stone which the builders rejected,
This became the very corner stone,”
8 and, “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”;
for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed."

The False Self

Narcissistic people create a false self rather than an ability to look at themselves in truth, this is why they do not grow spiritually. If someone is never wrong, then they can never improve.

Feelings or Facts

Children and narcissists see "feelings" as "facts." This is the condition of the modern church, many who say they are Christians prefer to follow their feelings and the culture rather than Christ.
