When we remain with people who do not love God we thwart our own spiritual and emotional growth. If we want to grow in holiness we must surround ourselves with people who love God.
1 Corinthians 15:33-34 " 33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.” 34 Sober up as you ought, and stop sinning; for some of you are ignorant of God. I say this to your shame.…"
It is a sin to love people more than God! Or, to love our life more than God.
Luke 14:26
"If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be My disciple."
