Ask God all the Time about Everything!

Jealous drives the narcissist to do what they do and say what they say.

I was once told a kind act I did for someone was foolish by a narcissist.

I asked why he thought it was foolish, the answer came back; "no one can talk to you without being questioned."

The narcissist does not know how nor do they want to discuss anything because their responses are calculated to make us feel stupid.

They are not honest or care about the truth, their only goal is to demean the smallest matters and even good deeds.

Why are there people like this? The Bible shows us exactly how they are and what to do about it.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 "“Difficult Times Will Come”
3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult (ragingly insane) times will come.
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these."

Verse 5 tells us they will be "religious but not godly" and to avoid them if at all possible.

The tactic of the devil is to cause frustration and insecurity in us preventing us from carrying out boldly God's instructions to us. If the devil can make us feel stupid or wrong for doing God's will, he can thwart God's purposes.

The way to avoid being controlled and manipulated by the devil is to ignore his attacks and keep going with what God has instructed us to do.

When we are led by the Holy Spirit we can know the tactics of the devil and they don't have to have any effect on us at all.

Romans 16:17-18
"I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive."

The purpose of the enemy is to divide people, to destroy ministries and to make impotent anyone who loves to speak of the Lord. He wants to strip us of our confidence in Christ.

Colossians 2:8
"See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ."

Ask God all the time about everything and listen to His voice, then we will be so strong the enemy will not be able to bait us into anything.
