Unholy Alliances

1 Corinthians 10:21-22 "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the table of demons. Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?"
Unholy alliances do not just mean in the military but also marrying a non-believer to a believer in a first marriage. So many young Christian people are ignoring the warnings about this, they think it is alright to date an unbeliever but dating is a bonding experience and should not be practiced.
I think this is why we see so many false converts today, the unbelievers are pretending to become a Christian to satisfy the believer, fooling the believer into thinking they were born again when there was no salvation experience. The unbeliever thinks it's merely a club to join with certain standards but they have no real dedication to Christ.
Matthew 15:7-9 "…7 You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you: 8 ‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. 9 They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’ ”…"
Many people in our culture today think becoming born again is nothing more than a set of rules and an outward show, they do not have the Holy Spirit nor do they recognize Him. In fact, often they are hostile to His Word and His presence.
A born again believer has confessed their sinfulness, after that Christ comes to live in them, guiding them and protecting their soul from harm.
The born again believer has all the fruit of the Spirit as mentioned in God's Word. Authentic born again believers can sense the Spirit of God in another authentic believer. There is an immediate connection and witness that is undeniable.
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

Confessing with Your Life

1Jo 4:2 KJV - 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:"
I am convinced that "confessing God" does not only have to do with words but our life. Many claim they know Christ but deny Him with their life.
Matthew 7:21-23 21 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’"

Not Against Flesh and Blood

Remember when Christ looked at Peter and said; "get thee behind me Satan", He was not speaking to Peter who was the one speaking, He was speaking to Satan the one using Peter's mouth. Peter was not possessed but he was temporarily influenced by the devil speaking the thoughts of the devil.
Matthew 16:22-24 "…22 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. “Far be it from You, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to You!” 23 But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me. For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” 24 Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.…"
In the case of Judas, Christ called him a devil because the devil was living in Judas. There is a difference between one who is being influenced by the devil and someone who is possessed.
John 6:69-71 "…69 We believe and know that You are the Holy One of God.” 70 Jesus answered them, “Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!” 71 He was speaking about Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. For although Judas was one of the Twelve, he was later to betray Jesus.…"
Even believers who are born again can be influenced by the devil and his minions. We see this in our day when it is very hard to tell the difference between authentic believers and pretenders, they look so much alike.
God said that "even the elect would be fooled if it were possible", meaning it is possible for born again believers to be deceived for a time.
Matthew 24:24 "For there shall arise false christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."
Many believers today are falling into all kinds of traps to distract them from preaching Christ. Many believers are believing the wrong things about God's word that cause them to disobey Christ. Because of the stubbornness of many Christians today our witness is lame and impotent. Our influence is worldly more than godly and our children have been taught things that build pride instead of humility.
If you do not believe me spend time reading the entire books of Psalms and Proverbs to get perspective. When you are finished I am confident that you will notice more readily the worldly and arrogant mentality of our times.
The solution always is to pray for those around us, that they might confess their sinfulness and trust in Christ.
Remember our fight is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual powers in high places.
Ephesians 6:12
"12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

A Nation that Turns its Back on God

We have to remember these are the end times, there is no stopping what is happening. It is time to put our minds on Jesus Christ and stop worrying about what the country is doing.
Our freedoms are over, this country has thumbed its nose at God on so many levels its impossible to get this country back if we ever really had it in the first place.
Most "Christians" over the years have been cultural Christians not interested in the Bible or the gospel. They only pretended and now they are paying the price for not seeking Christ.
All we have to do is watch what comes out of people when we tell them what God says in His word. The mildest reactions are blank stares and the most outrageous responses are fits of anger with accusations against us. The country is so deeply in sin and addicted to the pleasures they enjoy that it is impossible for them to wrap their minds around God's Word and His standards.

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
2 Chronicles 33 tells us what God thinks of nations that refuse to acknowledge Him.
