Malachi 1:6 "A son honors his father and a servant his master. If then I am the Father, Where is My Honor? And if I am a Master, Where is My reverence? Says the Lord of Hosts.
"To You priests who despise My Name. Yet you say; "in what way have we despised Your Name?"
Malachi 1:7 "You offer defiled food on My alter, but say, "In what way have we defiled you." By saying; "The table of the Lord is contemptable, and when you offer the blind as a sacrifice, is it not evil."
Malachi 1:10 "I have no pleasure in you." Says the Lord of hosts, Nor will I accept an offering from your hands."
Many people in churches today accept and endorse divorce and remarriage as though God does not care that you defile marriage and disobey His commands not to divorce and to not remarry after divorce.
Many people accept and endorse disrespectful attitudes and language toward their parents when God said to "honor your father and mother", and "to listen to the instruction of your father and to not despise the teachings of your mother."
They accept the rebellion in others even if they do not do it themselves. And, most adult children today defy God in the commands to listen to the instruction of their father and to not disobey the law of their mother.
Adults train their children by example how to act disobediently while claiming they are teaching them Chrsitianity.
Proverbs 1:8-9 "8 Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction, and do not forsake the teaching of your mother. 9 For they are a garland of grace on your head and a pendant around your neck."
Most believers do not know their Bibles, and those who do ignore the passages they do not like.
The modern Christian in this culture claims to be a Bible believer but walks in disobedience, pretending and demanding that it is good. They mock God's Word and those who bring it. They ask the question in a Bible study, "What does that passage mean to you?", instead of asking, "What did God mean by that passage?"
The leaders of churches demand obedience to them but defy God in his commands and principles while teaching things from humanistic psychology that enhance their sense of superiority, endorsing what God condemns.
Pentecostals are the worst for this practice of using the Bible in ways that promote their own ideas and culture. Even becoming angry when someone corrects them.
The Bible is not a book of good suggestions that can be modified and changed to fit whatever anyone wants to believe. The Bible is God's Word; Jesus Christ is the Word and anyone who changes the Bible to fit their own ideas is negating and rejecting Jesus Christ to follow their own wicked heart.
