FALSE Prophets, CULTS, and DEMONIC Deceptions (Part 1) | Guest: J.B. Hixson

Do not Deny Christ by Negating His Word

Those who do not believe the Bible while saying they are Bible believers are denying the deity of Christ. They are denying He is the Word and that every Word He gave us is truth. They deny that His principles and commands are to be followed not just known.
Every time someone adds to the Bible to make the Word of God say what they like according to the culture they are denying Christ.
Every time someone ignores or removes principles and commands from it to satisfy their hunger to fit into the culture they are denying Christ.
2 Peter 2:1
"But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction."
Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money."
1 John 4:1
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world."
2 Timothy 2:12
"If we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us;"
Romans 1:16
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."
We either follow Christ or we do not, if we say we love the Word of God then we ought to pray and ask for wisdom as we read and reject anything added or taken away from it by others.
Revelation 22:18 "I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;"

The Bible is Our Instruction Book from God

It is a sin to read the Bible knowing the principles and commands of God and ignoring them, treating them contemptuously as nothing more than suggestions that can be ignored.

Hebrews 10: He Does Away With The Old Covenant, To Establish, The New Covenant

OVERVIEW!
Hebrews 10: He Does Away With The Old Covenant, To Establish The New Covenant!
Hebrews Chapter 10 concludes this section of the letter focusing on Christ as the
High Priest.
This chapter further compares the sacrifices of the Old Covenant, with the New Covenant sacrifice of Jesus.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 10:1-18 CHRIST'S SACRIFICE WAS ONCE FOR ALL!
The author states that the law, with its repetitive sacrifices, was a shadow of the good things to come, not the true form of these realities.
Those sacrifices, could never make perfect, those who draw near.
He refers to Psalm 40 to illustrate that God was not pleased with sacrifices and offerings, but desired obedience.
Jesus came to do God's will, by offering His body, once for all, in contrast to the priests who were required to offer sacrifices daily.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 10:19-25 THE FULL ASSURANCE OF FAITH
The author encourages believers to draw near to God, with a true heart, in full assurance of faith.
Because Jesus has opened, a new and living way, through His body, believers are exhorted to hold fast to their confession, without wavering.
They are commanded to stir up one another, to love and good works, and to not neglect gathering together.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 10:26-31 A WARNING AGAINST DELIBERATE SIN!
This section contains a severe warning.
If believers deliberately continue to sin, after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for their sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment.
The author compares this with the harsh penalty under the law of Moses, and reminds believers of the vengeance of the living God.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 10:32-39 RECALL THE FORMER DAYS!
The author encourages believers to remember their earlier experiences of suffering for the faith and urges them to endure, to preserve their souls.
He expresses his confidence in the believers, that they are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.
SUMMARY!
Hebrews Chapter 10 emphasizes the superiority and sufficiency, of the once for all sacrifice of Jesus, in contrast to the repetitive, and ineffective sacrifices of the Old Covenant.
The chapter reiterates the completeness of Christ's work, and encourages believers to approach God, with full assurance of faith.
A stern warning is given against deliberate sin, that emphasizes the gravity of disobedience, in the New Covenant.
The chapter ends with an exhortation to endurance and perseverance in faith, underscoring the believer's position in the promises of God.
