Obedience not Results

I am thankful that I do not have to be the one to convince anyone of the truth, I merely bring the message God gives me and leave all the results to God.
1 Corinthians 3:6-9
6" I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth.
7 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.
8 Now the one who plants and the one who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s [b]field, God’s building."
If I speak what the Holy Spirit tells me to speak that is supported by the Scriptures and someone does not want to hear it, then it is not my responsibility to hammer them until they agree.
What a blessing it is to know the truth, speak it with calmness, and walk away leaving all the results to God. If we take any credit at all for the response to the truth then we are thinking fleshly hoping we will save some credit for ourselves.
Our reward comes from obeying God His Way not from the results. Often we speak the truth and the result and response from the hearer is anger because their heart is not wanting to obey God. This is and will continue to be the majority of responses to the Biblical truths in our day of apostasy, sadly even in the church gatherings.
We cannot stop speaking the truth, although the Holy Spirit may cause us to go silent to those who have already heard and have rejected.
This does not mean it is over for that one who will not hear us, it may mean God will keep bringing others to them, and eventually, the light bulb will go on in their mind prompting them to remember what others said to them and by the natural consequences of rebellion against God.
This is why God said; "my word does not go out void."
Hebrews 4:12
"12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
It is not our delivery that is powerful or manipulative, it is the very word of God that has power. He may bring it back to someone who heard at a time when their heart has been softened by the trials of this life, or they may continue to reject the truth from God's messengers and remain rebellious all the way to hell. There will be many of these types who refuse to listen.
Matthew 7:13-14 " 13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.…"
Our job is to obey Christ and leave all the results to Him.
