Rejecting the cultural Christianity I grew up with to embrace and enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ. A place to come and share thoughts about almost anything. Especially things of the Lord. Please no Anonymous posts, I enjoy knowing who is writing to me.

The Blessings of Facebook
Re-sharing because I am again reminded of all the people who felt excluded or rejected by family, and some community, may find their voice and acceptance by those who love Christ as much as they love Him.

When I began Facebook, I expected to be treated the way my family treated me. That is to be ignored, mocked, and rejected continually. However, I promised God that I would continue anyway, even if no one paid attention or validated me. Because He was the One Who was telling me to do it, it didn't matter whether anyone would like it. He said, "Use it for Me."
Then something happened that I did not expect! People began liking and requesting friendship; it was a shock to me. Well, having been treated as I was all of my life by family, I expected, over time, that eventually these people would dislike me too.
The shock was that those who have requested friendships with me chose me because they were like-minded with me. They enjoyed hearing Biblical principles and scriptures as much as I do. These people have been a great blessing to me.
God allowed the medium of Facebook for believers who were like-minded to connect during these end times when so many are alone without support for their walk with Christ.
I have many brothers and sisters now that I have never met but value as much as if we had met them.
Having been mocked for being on Facebook by "Christians" or those I might call pretenders, I realize that they do not know even remotely what we do here. Because they have no inclination to connect with born-again believers who are on fire for the Lord, they think our friends are not real friends. Most people are using their Facebook to boast about their lives, even though they only present the "good" things as though they live in a utopia in their own minds. Impressing people is more important to them than speaking about Christ.
I expect to see my born-again Facebook friends at the marriage supper of the Lamb soon. They are my forever family, who bless me as I am allowed to freely share my heart about the things of the Lord. We do not always completely agree, but we love one another and accept one another as our conversation is around Christ. There is a love and respect that we do not see in our families or the communities in which we live. It blesses me greatly. I praise the Lord for all my brothers and sisters who are authentically born again and moving forward in their walk all the time.
Proverbs 18:24
"24 A man of too many friends comes to [a]ruin,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
Proverbs 13:20
"20 He who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will suffer harm."
John 15:13
"13 Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."
Proverbs 27:17
"17 Iron sharpens iron,
So one man sharpens another."
Ecclesiastes 4:12
"12 And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart."

Persecution Toward Those who Tell the Truth
Amen! What we are experiencing right now is a mild persecution in our country compared to what is coming. It is the rejection and disrespect of those in family and the society as a whole who do not want Christ, but are dedicated to a superficial false spirituality of praise and trust in themselves. They want to appear spiritual and wonderful without having any desire to be transformed by Christ.
2 Timothy 3: 1-5 "3 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people."
Persecution in a Day of Apostacy

AVOID SUCH PEOPLE.."
AN APPEARANCE OF GODLINESS BUT WITHOUT THE POWER OF CHRIST, EVEN HOSTILE TOWARD ANYONE WHO CORRECTS THEM WITH HIS WORD IS THE STATE OF RELATIONSHIPS IN OUR DAY.
Matthew 15:7-9 …7 You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you: 8 ‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. 9 They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’ "
Mark 7:6-7, Jeremiah 12:2,
Ezekiel 33:31 "So My people come to you as usual, sit before you, and hear your words; but they do not put them into practice. Although they express love with their mouths, their hearts pursue dishonest gain."
Many Christians do things for the Lord that they dream up in their minds but do not obey God's Word. They want to do things their own way and feel proud of themselves for doing it. And then become angry at those who expose the foolishness of their offerings that God hates.
Amos 5:21-23 “I hate, I despise your feasts! I cannot stand the stench of your solemn assemblies. Even though you offer Me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; for your peace offerings of fattened cattle I will have no regard. / Take away from Me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps."
Isaiah 1:13 "Bring your worthless offerings no more; your incense is detestable to Me. New Moons, Sabbaths, and convocations—I cannot endure iniquity in a solemn assembly."
If you are despised, disrespected and ignored for speaking the truth of God's Word to warn the modern church, then you are stronger than those who play the people pleaser to be accepted and fill themselves with pride at how adored they are by those who dismiss God's Word.
Our strength is not our own it is the strength of the Holy Spirit Who lives in us and guides us every day as we slog through a fallen and shameful church system that was fabricated by men who loved power over others.
Philippians 4:13 "13 I can do all things [a]through Him who strengthens me."
Our ability to live in this fallen world full of false, counterfeit, and phony religion is not of our own power but in the power of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 2:9-11 "9 For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
And He came to live in us when we trusted in Him. He abides in us forever.
1 John 4:12-14 "…12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we remain in Him, and He in us: He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world."
