Praying for World Peace or Praying for the Peace of Christ?

Praying for peace is not Biblical because God said wars will increase, natural disasters will increase and the antichrist will promise peace and bring a short period of false peace and false miracles.
Matthew 24:6-13
"6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains."
Matthew 10:34-40
34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I came to turn a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; 36 and a person’s enemies will be the members of his household."
John 5:43
"I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive."
Those who want world peace without Christ may see what looks like peace for a time but it is the antichrist pretending to be the Christ but in fact he is the devil.

Much is wrong with the modern idea of Christianity

Seek the Holy Spirit not Men!

I have been chastised for attempting to bring people back to the gospel and obedience to the Bible.
They think "I am too heavenly-minded to be any earthly good." What they don't realize is that it is not possible to be used of God unless we are heavenly-minded.
I have even been told I should compromise the gospel for the sake of unity and by former missionaries. This is the state of the apostate churches today.
It is astounding the things people are being taught in the apostate churches that is against God but they think is Biblical.
2 Timothy 4:2-4
…2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…
The problem is not that people have wrong beliefs about the Bible, we have all had at one time or another. The problem is that those who follow worldly thinking refuse to be corrected. They love their false doctrine and their standing in the group so much they must follow others instead of Christ.
Tradition is a strong taskmaster, it demands that those who step out of the traditions be punished by those who are in bondage to them.
Mark 7:13 "13Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters.”
Those who step outside the traditions taught by men are treated contemptuously and excluded for not following the group-think. Instead of everyone seeking God for truth they are seeking counsel of men and disciplining the one who seeks the counsel of Christ.
Of course this is opposite of what God teaches in His word and the reason the church gatherings have become apostate.
Mark 7:14
"Once again Jesus called the crowd to Him and said, "All of you, listen to Me and understand:"
Galatians 3:24-26 "…24 So the law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. 26You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.…"
1 John 2:27: “As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him”.
The question would be; "what man can teach us better than the Holy Spirit Who lives in us"?
Jeremiah 31:34 (speaking of the church age, a prophesy)
"No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more."
John 6:45
"It is written in the Prophets: 'And they will all be taught by God.' Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from Him comes to Me--"
We need to stop trusting what men tell us, especially in these end of the last days, and begin seeking the Holy Spirit. Believe Him when He shows us truth and follow it even if no one else comes with us.

Have You Ever Been Accused of Being Negative for Correcting Someone?

I was once called negative because I correct believers. My answer to them was, that the good does not need fixing.
Praising people for doing what is already the right thing only flatters and builds pride.
Encouragement is when we agree with what is right, but this is not flattery or praise.
Agreeing with what is right brings closeness to someone as we walk together in oneness both seeking the same God and His truth.
However, correction brings us back to right thinking according to God's Word. Those who cannot be corrected without feeling angry are full of pride and cannot learn.
Hebrews 3:12-13 "12 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a wicked heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness."
Hebrews 10:24
"And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds."
May we become so in love with Jesus Christ that correction from His Word is a joy and pleasure!!!

Who Do You Trust In

Be careful not to place your trust in an unsaved worldly man who cannot bring salvation to the souls of men.
Many people are trusting in a man instead of Christ. They think if they get the things they want they will be safe. They claim it is all for God but really its for their own sense of safety and ease of living. We know this because they speak of their leader but they do not speak openly about Jesus Christ.
Psalm 146:3-7
"3 Do not trust in noblemen,
In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.
4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth;
On that very day his plans perish.
5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,
6 Who made heaven and earth,
The sea and everything that is in them;
Who keeps faith forever;
7 Who executes justice for the oppressed;
Who gives food to the hungry.
The Lord frees the prisoners."
No man will be able to hold back God's judgment on a country that has turned their back on God. They have a form of religion but they have not trusted in Christ.
Some claim we need to maintain freedom in this country in order to preach the gospel. This is almost laughable when I see that most "Christians" I know never mention the name of Christ but their mouths are full of the praises of their favorite political entity.
I am convinced that the claim people make that they want to preserve freedom for the gospel care little about it any other time of the year. The apostate church elevates freedom over Christ. Do they not know that it is under persecution that the church grows. It causes people to realize their helplessness and chases them to God.
As long as this country is feeling a sense of safety it will never turn it's heart to Christ. Satan has even fooled many Christians into believing their new leader is a Christian because he says he is, as if that's the indication of salvation.
In order to justify their desire for a "king", they must pretend he is a godly one.
After 9-11, the people flocked to the churches to feel safe, just a few weeks later they went back to their lives as if they had no need for God. It is common for people to run to God when things get rough, using Him as a life raft but return to their ungodly ways without interest in Him when things return to normal.
A leader will not "delay the decay" as some believers think, it only delays people from turning to Christ as they enjoy their safety.
I know of many "Christians" who have trusted in themselves and in their leaders who have ignored the principles of God's Word to do things their own way. They even become hostile toward other believers who correct their wrong doctrine to bring them back to obedience to the Word of Christ.
I have been more rejected by Christians from correcting them than I have by the unsaved world. Pride abounds in the apostate church and very few seek after Christ to learn to be led by Him.
Proverbs 28:26 states, "Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered".
Those who are so proud that their leader was elected will pat themselves on the back for their effort only to realize later that this leader was not the answer, only Christ is the answer.
It is human nature to be lulled into complacency when things are going well. It is only through hardship and persecution that mankind runs to God.
Matthew 5:10-12
1"0 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me."
Follow Christ not man, when we do this it won't matter the state of circumstances, we will be stong no matter what comes.
