Hypocrite or Authentic Christian?

The Seculars See It Too

Even the secular community is noticing that things are getting worse in the world.

They are saying things like; "it can only get worse as we see society going into these narcissistic tendencies."

And, they are saying what we need is a disaster to wake people up to their "need for each other", and "perhaps a world leader who sill help us out of this mess."

I listened to secular psychologists say these very things this morning. One of those psychologists purports to be Christian and yet he is speaking just like the seculers.

This is the very thing we can expect in these last days. Things getting worse and then the onset of a world leader claiming to be Christ.

We are being groomed right now by "Christian rock stars" and "prosperity preachers" who are preparing the culture to believe in the false Christ.

We have a leader right now who claims to be a Christian but denies his need for repentance. He is standing for the things that agree somewhat with Christian principles but deny the true Christ as he sits under a false teacher in his church.

All this "Jesus" talk is leading to the false Jesus, we know this because of the false doctrines they are espousing as they smile big smiles and dance and sing as though life is good.

Where is the weeping over sin, where is the seriousness of sermons that encourage holiness and self denial. These do not exist in the modern apostate church.

2 Timothy 4:2-4…2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…"

We are going to lose friends, we will be rebuked for speaking truth by others in the churches we attend and on mediums like facebook. Members of our own families will gossip against us, telling lies about being self righteous and mean spirited, ascribing to us their own attitudes.

Matthew 10:21-22 "…21 Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rise against their parents and have them put to death. 22 You will be hated by everyone on account of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved."

Proverbs 29:27
"An unjust man is detestable to the righteous, and one whose way is upright is detestable to the wicked."

Isaiah 66:5
"You who tremble at His word, hear the word of the LORD: "Your brothers who hate and exclude you because of My name have said, 'Let the LORD be glorified that we may see your joy!' But they will be put to shame."

Matthew 5:10
"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Do not allow any of these things to discourage you, they are to be expected and ignored. We cannot change anyone's heart nor can we convince anyone. We are merely to tell the truth, walk away and leave all of the results to Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:6-9
"6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth.
7 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.
8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building."

It is God's word that is powerful not our delivery. Never mind the response to us, God takes care of His own Word and it is powerful.

Hebrews 4:11-13
"11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.
12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.…"

Obedience to God First

A woman should have an abusive husband arrested since the abuse is against the law. I just want to be sure no one is endorsing putting up with abusiveness. We are to obey our husbands when they ask us to do most things except when they ask us to go against God, then we must go with God.

Also there is another principle to think about. The husband is not to be a micro manager in the home. The home was given to the woman to manage, it was not given to the man to dictate that job. The woman is responsible to make her own choices about the home taking into account the desires of her husband but he should not be dictating that. That job was given to the woman by God.

Also, if a homemaker help mate makes a rule about taking shoes off before entering the man is to submit to the house rules of the woman.

Leadership in marriage is similar to leadership in the church. The leaders are to lead by teaching and example. They are to love the people and their wives as Christ loved the church. Christ spoke truth and allowed people to make their own choices. No man or leader in the church should intimidate, manipulate or force anyone to do anything.

Leadership must spend a lot of time in prayer to be able to resist the natural temptation to rule harshly over their household. It is easy for a man who is stronger and bigger to assert himself through sinful means.

Leaders must have enough faith to lovingly teach and lead by example while leaving whether or not others obey to God.

Matthew 20:25-26 " 25 But Jesus called them aside and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them. 26 It shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,…"

Jesus Christ never forced or intimidated anyone!

Ignore the Ignorant Man

Matthew 5:11
“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account."

All of us will encounter this from time to time. The devil hates truth and will throw everything he has at you to discourage you. These attacks no longer affect me but I am grieved for those who are caught up in false doctrine believing they are defending God all the while they are heaping judgment on themselves.

Revelation 12:10
"And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God."

Exodus 14:14
"The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

We do not have to fight with our enemies, we merely have to stand our ground and allow God to fight our battles for us.

1 Peter 2:4-6
"4 And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,
5 you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 For this is contained in Scripture:
“Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone,
And he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.”

We have been and are going to be met with opposition when we speak the truth of the Word of God. Those who are disobedient and rebellious will accuse us of their own sins.

They will say we have false doctrine while they have false doctrine. They will call us names and malign our character in defense of their own false doctrine. We have all encountered this and can count on it happening as we grow in wisdom.

The world hates God and many pretenders occupy the church pews today, they are prideful and accuse the true brethren of pride. They are revilers and accuse the brethren of reviling.

The same disrespect that we see in the world is now in the church, disrespect for the elders, disrespect for one another and disrespect especially for God's Word. They treat God's word as a book of suggestions attempting to make it fit their worldly doctrine as they continue to lie against God and against the brethren.

Proverbs 11:9
"With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered."

James 1:2-4
"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."

1 Peter 4:14
"If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you."

Bottom line: Ignore the insults and continue with the truth. Give no attention to those who mock, demean and attempt to ruin you and all your relationships. God protects us and will take care of all this injustice when He is finished here.

1 Corinthians 14:38 KJV
"38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant (ignored)."

1 Corinthians 14:38 NASB
"38 But if anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized."

In this verse we see from the two different versions of the Bible they both support that we are to ignore the ignorant man who asserts his foolishness.
