You Cannot Work Your Way to Keeping Your Salvation

Those who believe they can lose their salvation are depending on their own good deeds to maintain their salvation. No one can do that, only Christ's blood can cover ones' sin. A man cannot die for his own sin, only Christ did that. One cannot work to keep what they did not work to earn in the first place.

Ephesians 2:10
"10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Christ changed us into a new creation, He does all the work in us, we sometimes disobey, but He still remains in us, we are still His children.""

Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, or lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises everyone He receives as a son.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father"

If you could work your way to keeping your salvation then it is not Christ doing it. Those who preach loss of salvation are preaching heresy and working their own way to heaven. Those people will not be accepted into heaven.

Matthew 7:21-23 "21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"

Those in Matthew 7 are proclaiming to God all they did for Him and He rejects them.

Regarding the Life of Your Animal

We are to be good to our animals; "10 A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are only cruelty." Proverbs 12:10

However: Human beings are far more valuable than animals. If we were to focus more on animals than we do on human beings, then our focus is off and we do not have God's perspective.

Matthew 6:26 "26 Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns— and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
Reg
God gave us animals for food.

Genesis 9:3
"Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything."

Leviticus 11:2
“Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth."

Genesis 1:26
"Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

In the final analysis humans are higher than animals in intellect, in abilities and in the mind of God. This does not mean its alright to abuse them. Just because something is beneath us is no excuse for abuse. Any abuse against any living thing is an abusive heart, the character and heart of a man is revealed in his actions toward living things.

However we are over the animals they are subject to our training and use. God told us we must kill them to live, whether to eat them or protect our families and livestock. Whether we eat them or use them to plow our fields, they are for our use. In the midst of all this we treat them as humanly as possible, it will show our character and our respect for God's creation.

The more we read the Word of God the more we understand our purpose here and His ways!

One Cannot Follow Christ and Astrology Too

Sadly many in the church are looking to the world for their wisdom but even worse they are engaged in demonic systems to gain knowledge.

So many things that modern Christians involve themselves in are not only not from God but forbidden by Him.

The only way to know truth about these things is to read the word and ask the Lord to open the understanding in it.

We cannot know God's heart about these practices unless we first want to know and secondly seek him for the answers.

Many people who claim to be Christian do not seek God for His answers, they merely listen to others and follow whatever others say in order to fit into the world.

Matthew 7:21-23
"21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"

No one can follow astrology and Christ too. Those who follow astrology are not following Christ or they would hate astrology.

Following Astrology is Divination

For those who are following astrology!

Deuteronomy 18:9-12
“When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you."

Deuteronomy 4:19
"And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven."

Daniel 4:7
"Then the magicians, the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers came in, and I told them the dream, but they could not make known to me its interpretation."

God clearly forbids looking to the stars for the answers to life. We are to follow Christ alone. God is a jealous God, when we look to the stars for answers we are not looking to God.
