Checking With God About Our Holidays

Interesting isn't it, parents don't see this as lying, to teach their children about false beings that do miracles. No wonder so many children are rebelling against their parents. The parents discipline their children for lying while at the same time practicing lying themselves.

Amos 5:21-23
King James Version (KJV)
"21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

22 Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols."

Parents don't understand that lying to children even to spare their feelings, is teaching them to lie. We must tell the truth to our children always, they may be hurt for a short time but they will learn to face truth and work through pain.

God does not lie to us to spare us pain, we should not do it with our children.
