The KJV Bible is not perfect.

One Step at a Time

Psalm 119:105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
And a light unto my path."
When the Lord gives us His light on His path He gives us enough light to take one more step.
We take that step by faith knowing He will give us light for the next step. We need not see the distance or the future, only the first step in obedience to Him.
This is why I have no need for any future prophecy other than what God already gave us in the Bible. We can be blessed by knowing what the future that God gave us holds. Anything more than that is divination and lack of faith.
I have been tempted at times to seek a sign, but knowing it was fleshly I repented. I have also been tempted to force things to work out the way I wanted them, that too was fleshly and I repented.
Often the way God maneuvered things was far better than what I thought I wanted.
Faith is believing God when we cannot see what He is doing, knowing He knows perfectly what His own will is for us and what is needed to happen. He knows what is best for us in the long run, in the years to come. We cannot see into the future, God is already there.
Isaiah 55:8-9
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts."
2 Corinthians 5:6-9 "6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— 7 for we walk by faith, not by [d]sight— 8 but we are of good courage and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. 9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him."
If we have faith we take the next step even though we do not know what comes after that, because we trust Christ.
I cannot tell you how many times I took my own steps thinking my own way only to miss a blessings. This is what I fear for those who are always looking for a sign that God never spoke of in the Bible. They have to see something to have faith. The greatest faith is when we obey God even when we see nothing.
Matthew 16:4 " 4A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Then He left them and went away."
Often when we seek a sign against the instructions of God to have faith, the devil's swoop in and give us what we want, deceiving us into believing it was God while leading us down the wrong path.
When we pray we ought to pray for God's Will that if we are asking amiss He will correct our thinking.
James 4:2-4 "…2 You crave what you do not have; you kill and covet, but are unable to obtain it. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask. 3 And when you do ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may squander it on your pleasures. 4 You adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore, whoever chooses to be a friend of the world renders himself an enemy of God.…"
Final point; do not listen to the false teachers who encourage you to seek signs and produce false miracles. Often they are led by demons encouraging a lack of faith deceiving many. These teachers ruin the real faith causing men to be discouraged while heaping guilt on them for not having their miracle. They are devils!!!!
