Seeking Christ All the Time for Everything

Believers, may we all seek Christ in all things all the time. We need Him in these last days of deep deception. The deception is widespread on every side and in every venue.
Just because someone adds God's name to something does not mean it is true, we must test everything. Most of all we must listen to the Holy Spirit even when everyone around us is accepting what is popular.
1 Thessalonians 5:21
"21 Test all things; hold fast what is good."
The Holy Spirit warns us, but if we ignore the warnings to be accepted by men or to indulge in fantasy we will be deceived.
James 1:4-6 "…4 Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.…"
The devil is working hard to distract us from Christ! We must put our eyes back on Christ, His principles, and the Bible for every single thing.
Matthew 6:33
"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
Proverbs 8:17
"I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me."
1 Chronicles 16:11
"Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!"

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

The Great Commission

When we are spending more time reading the tabloids than we are praying and worshiping God we will be ultimately causing division among believers. There is no real evidence, but there are a whole lot of lies.
1 John 4:1-2 "1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,…"
We ought to be speaking of Christ and His teachings rather than spreading the lies of these tabloid internet liars. They claim to have proof but never offer any, they are causing deep division within the body of Christ. Making statements presenting them as facts when there are no facts, turning people away from Christ, it destroys the credibility of the gospel message.
Anyone caught up in this stuff needs to take a step back and pray before reading one more word from their sites.
There are many people now who revel in just knowing information, whether or not it is true is not important as long as they believe it.
I beg those who are involved in this to go to prayer before passing on information that they have heard but have no way of vetting.
Just because something is in print does not mean it is true. Just because someone says it or believes it does not mean the information is true.
Let's ask a very important question, what was God's command to the born-again believer?
Let's answer that question with the word of God;
Matthew 28:19-20
"19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
1 Peter 3:15
"15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect;"
Defense of what? Defense of the gospel, not politics or personal rights.
2 Corinthians 5:20
"20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God."
2 Timothy 2:15
"15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."
Acts 2:28
"28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’"
Following the conspiracy theories does nothing to further the cause of Christ, in fact, it detracts from it, even turning people away from the truth of the gospel.
John 14:6
"6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Mark 16:15
"15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."
Please I beg the born again believers to stay on point, that is the gospel. When we do this we cannot go wrong. We may lose our rights, so what, we don't have any rights as followers of Christ, we are His servants to carry out His will wherever He places us, even if that means in prison for our faith.
Other countries of the world understand this thinking because they have never had rights and have been controlled all their lives by the government and yet the Christians live with hope every day, because their hope is not in the government or their wealth since they don't have any, their hope is in Christ alone.
Americans operate like spoiled children who are having their toys taken away for being naughty. God is removing our toys, our freedoms, to show us just how arrogant and entitled we have been. Not one of us in America can say we have not at one time or another whined about not getting something we want. It's because we are so used to getting what we want we have become self-focused. Even our sermon messages must be spoken the way we like to hear it or we rebel in anger. Even our worship is man-centered instead of Christ-centered.
The modern gospel of America has sadly gone all over the world in their evangelism. The entire world has become apostate but the believers don't see it. We truly are living in the final days when there is little faith left on the earth.
Is it any wonder that God is closing our churches, removing our playthings, and placing restrictions on our movements? I do not wonder, I see clearly now what God is doing and it is for our good that He is disciplining America. Unless we repent, and I am convinced this country will not, we will lose what we have quickly.
We have been entrusted with the gospel message for several generations, but have exchanged that message from one of repentance to one of personal gain and wealth. And, if that is not bad enough we have taken this false gospel message to the rest of the world. We will be held accountable for perverting what God has given us.

The greatest witnesses we can be in this world for Christ is for the community around us to see us unconcerned about our own safety and joyful that we are safe in Christ no matter what anyone does to us. When they see the joy in us that they do not have, they may want to know why we have such joy with all that is going on in the world. We can share with them that it is Christ who keeps our hearts from a meltdown. We know this is not all there is, that our greatest hope is no in this world but in our life with Him now and when we go home to heaven.

Luke 12:48 "but the one who did not know it, and committed acts deserving of a beating, will receive only a few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more."
God is not standing still for our perversion of His gospel truth. The beginning of discipline is here, we can expect greater discipline soon.

Facebook, Our Last Means to Spread the Gospel to the World

Many thoughts raced through my mind as I was recalling how the Lord led me to Facebook and why He did that. When we are "gospel minded" and "brethren minded" we have a tendency to see every means of communication as a way to encourage the believer and bring the gospel to others. We love the sweet interaction with believers from all over the world who also love our Lord. We love that we can bring truth to a dying world before it is too late.
When we are heavenly minded, with little regard for preserving this worldly life we will see every media as a means to obey the Great Commission. I would like to encourage those who are using Facebook to further the gospel and encourage other believers to ignore the negative comments and useless chatter of those who have little regard for the spread of the gospel.
I am hearing so much foolishness coming from obscure news sources that are nothing more than tabloids. Remember the day as a child when we walked through the grocery lane and saw those small newspapers that told us of aliens having human babies!!!? Yes, these news sources are just like the internet tabloids, they feed on sensationalism but do nothing to further the Kingdom of God.
I see Facebook no differently from a letter written to a believer. The only difference, and it is a big one, is that we can reach the entire world from our chairs in our house on the computer. These are letters to our brethren and tracts to the unbelievers except through a means that has been given to us by God in these last days, far more reaching than one letter written on paper sent through the post office mails to a church or a friend. We can interact instantly in chat and text having a conversation with someone whom we have never seen in person but shares our love for the Lord.
Every single believer can reach other believers and the unsaved through the internet every single day across the globe. If we have a Facebook page I believe this is God's will for us as born-again believers.
There is no eternal value in using Facebook to boast about ourselves or our lives, in fact, it detracts from the gospel. As believers, we share some happy things we have encountered in our lives, its natural and a blessing, but when this is all someone does then it has become a medium to self elevate.
I enjoy the various life experiences with my Facebook friends and aspects of their life, but more than that I love to hear them speak of our Lord. These are the last days, we may not have much longer to fulfill our calling to share the gospel and to encourage one another in a world that is self-destructing before our very eyes.
Jesus Christ must be our reason for everything we do. It is not wrong to share some of our life with others, but when it becomes a medium for only this, then it has little value.
John 3:25-30
25 Then a matter of dispute developed on the part of John’s disciples with a Jew about purification.
26 And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified—behold, He is baptizing and all the people are coming to Him.”
27 John replied, “A person can receive not even one thing unless it has been given to him from heaven.
28 You yourselves are my witnesses that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent ahead of Him.’
29 He who has the bride is the groom; but the friend of the groom, who stands and listens to him, rejoices greatly because of the groom’s voice. So this joy of mine has been made full.
30 He must [d]increase, but I must decrease."
Remember the day of your wedding ladies? You were so excited that the day was approaching, the groom was the only subject on your mind. The person you spoke of the most was the one you would soon marry, the one with whom you would spend the rest of your life.
We are the bride of Christ, He is our Groom. We ought to be speaking of Him more than anything else. We would not hold back our joy and testimonies of our marriage in an earthly relationship, how much more should we speak of our Groom, that is the Lord Jesus Christ.
My encouragement to you is that you ignore the comments that demean what you are doing on Facebook and keep "soldiering on" as if you never heard the negative comments. Pondering them for more than five seconds is too long. They are tools of the devil to discourage us from speaking about Christ.
2 Timothy 2:3-4
"3 Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him."
We are a soldier, we do not fight with weapons of this world, we fight our warfare in the Spirit of God, through prayer and fasting. This life is not for our pleasures or personal accomplishment, it is to glorify God until He comes for us.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 "…3 For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. 4 The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We tear down arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.…"
