How Do We Love One Another?

Notice what God says love for the brethren looks like!

1 John 5:2-3 " 2 By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,…"

Read the Word and Ask God for Understanding

Many people who are Christians would be shocked at how many of their traditional practices come from Roman Catholic doctrine and traditions of men.

Instead of justifying these traditions by twisting Scripture to fit them, it is best to go to the Bible, find out what it really says and attempt to find a model in the Word of God that matches the traditions.

Much of what we thought were Biblical are not at all, even antithetical to Christ's teachings, drawing many people away from the principles of Christ rather than toward them.

Check it out for yourself while praying for the understanding, you might be surprised at what God tells you.

Remarriage After Divorce is Adultery

Luke 16:18 "18 Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery."

For a believer to knowingly marry a divorced person who has a living spouse, it is sin against God. Beware, God will allow us the consequences that accompany disobedience against Him, often they are lifelong and brutal.

Do Not Be Unequally Yoked

2 Corinthians 6:14-15 "14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? 15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?…"

For a believer to knowingly marry an unbeliever it is sin against God. Beware, because God will allow us to experience the consequences of our disobedience and often it is lifelong and not very pretty.
