Do Narcissists Know They Are Being Abusive?

Narcissistic Culture Hates Born Again Believers

The narcissistic culture hates that Christians are independent of their influence. The culture wants to control those who are free in Christ and full of joy.
A narcissistic culture is not happy with those who think independently, they only accept those who are "group-thinkers", those who give into the group without pondering anything to discern the truth.
If you want to be accepted by the narcissistic culture "say nothing, do nothing, and be nothing", then you will be loved by them.
Narcissists depend on their personal cult system to prop them up. It is a threat to the narcissist to encounter someone who analyses things and takes their own path.
Matthew 7:13 "
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it."
Narcissists will feel inferior when we do not march to their drum beat. When we think critically and with self-reflection it will challenge the narcissist merely by living our own life the way we see fit and not according to their mandates for us.
Even the good things we do for the narcissist will cause resentment because they have no gratitude, seeing every good deed as a competition rather than the kindness with which it has been given.
Ungratefulness is a huge factor among narcissists. They judge everyone and are thankful for no one. They even concoct ideas they wish to believe about their targets that are not true at all and pass those ideas on to others in their gossip.
Narcissists must always have those who elevate them as special and will malign and punish those who do not treat them as superior.
Proverbs 16:28 "28 A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends."
God's instruction to us about such people is first of all not to become one of these people, not to listen to them and to avoid them.
If we retain friendships with narcissists and gossipers there is a danger we will adopt their ways to remain their companions.
Proverbs 26:4-5
"Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Or you will also be like him. Answer a fool as his folly deserves, That he not be wise in his own eyes."
We should pray as led by the Holy Spirit that those who are in bondage to their narcissism will self-evaluate and repent to become born again.

We live in "Ragingly Insane" Times

Ask God to See if You Have Really Been Born Again

Many people are the same people after becoming a Christian as they were when they were young before they were saved. They just added a form of Christianity to their rebellion and anger denying Christ in their attitudes if not in their lifestyles.
These people have become just like the Pharisees, parading their "Christianity" around like a banner to feel very prideful about their new found goodness.
Matthew 23:15
"15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves."
Pharisees are those who look down their noses at others supposing themselves to be superior.
Matthew 23
"1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat, 3 so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice. 4 They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. 5 They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, 6 and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues."
Luke 16:15
"15 And He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the sight of people, but God knows your hearts; because that which is highly esteemed among people is detestable in the sight of God."
Many people who say they are Christians spend more time evaluating what others are doing than they do self-reflecting to be able to correct their own flaws.
Pride and superiority ought never to be in the heart of a born-again believer. When we see those who love themselves above everyone else and who look down on others often, we are watching someone who has never been humbled to be born again. No one can remain full of pride and arrogance after coming to Christ in brokenness over their sinfulness. One must be broken first before they will legitimately see their need for Christ.
There are those who became Christians to appear better people than others, not because they have been broken. They are those who monitor others to justify their own superior attitude over others. They have no fruit of the Spirit of Christ.
Those who have been broken love others and desire for them to be born again and receive Christ, they do not consider themselves superior to anyone.
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
2 Peter 1:10-11 "10 Therefore, brothers, strive to make your calling and election sure. For if you practice these things you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a lavish reception into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.…"

Saying and Being are Two Very Different Things

So many people say they are Christians but have no regard for the Word of God even if they say they are "Bible believers."
When we really believe in something we follow it. Most believers I know follow what they like and dismiss as unimportant those things they do not like. They follow the culture, not the Bible.
Saying we are "Bible believers" while adding to scripture our cultural ideas and desires is lying. Dismissing some of God's Word is subtracting from the Bible, this is also a sin and dangerous.
John 14:15-16 "15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—…"
Jesus Christ is called the "WORD" He is the very essence of His own Word. To disregard his commands as unimportant is to disregard Him.
John 14:21
"Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him."
John 14:23
"Jesus replied, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."
John 15:10
"If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and remain in His love."
1 John 2:3
"By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments."
1 John 5:3
"For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,"
2 John 1:6
"And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the very commandment you have heard from the beginning, that you must walk in love."
Christ could have been more clear than He has been in His Word. Those who pick and choose what they will follow do not love Him.

It Will Cost You Everything!

" It’s going to cost you everything.
" This walk… this call… it’s going to wreck you.
" But, once you have tasted and seen how good the Lord is, you won’t be able to do dead, boring, religion anymore.
" You won’t be able to just be ordinary.
You won’t be able to settle for safe.
" While others are content to sit on the sidelines, you will be biting at the bit to get to the front line.
" Where others see giants, you will see the promise.
" You will carry this oil wherever you go and there will be those who mock and ridicule how you burn for Him.
" But, you found your battle cry in the wilderness.
" It was the valley that taught you and molded you.
" You have counted the cost and you are willing to lay down your life on the altar as a holy sacrifice.
" Tongues will rise up against the anointing on your life.
Those bound in tradition will hate you.
Your family will think you are crazy.
Your friends will whisper about you.
The religious will reject you.
The Pharisees will want to persecute you.
" But, you will set your forehead like flint, not looking to the left or to the right because you have an eternal purpose stamped upon your heart.
" You are meant to shift atmospheres and war in the Heavenlies.
" You are called to wield the sword of truth and to shake up the ground of tradition.
" You are called to break the mold.
" Whatever it takes, whatever you have to lose, whatever the cost; you will give it all for the sake of the gospel because, you have a fire shut up in your bones that burns day and night and you realize that this isn’t a choice, it’s a mandate from heaven."
