What is God's Love?

Matthew 22:36-40

36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and [a]foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

Perhaps it would be good to inquire of God what He means by love!

Hearing the Expected Rather than the Truth

It is possible that when we say something, those who hate us, will hear the words in terms of their own mindset rather than what was really said.

Those who love us will interpret them positively while those who have contempt for us will interpret them negatively.

Those who are joyful in their spirits will assume that they heard kind and loving things, while the one who has anger in their hearts will see the exact same words or actions and read into them something mean or hateful.

There are many misunderstandings based on personal mindsets rather than actual words and actions. If one's mind is being controlled by the devil, they will not have the ability to see things in truth.

A good example of this are the political types who riot and demean while accusing others of the same actions. For instance, the pro-abotion proponents will accuse pro-life advocates of being mean spirited when just the opposite is true. Pro-aborts murder and dismember live babies while pro-life advocates want to protect and love them.

The liberals accused the conservatives of rioting in the streets if their candidate didn't win, but when the election was over the liberals were the ones rioting. Accusing others of the very thing the narcissist is doing and the others are not, is a favored tactic of the devil today.

The purpose of this tactic is to cause the believer to become enraged just as the haters are enraged, so they can feel justified in their actions, even though their actions were first. This is why Christ wants us to "not answer a fool according to their folly." Doing the same thing as the wicked people only empowers them and stains us with sin.

Romans 12:18-19 "…18 If it is possible on your part, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Causing the believer to rage as the wicked ones rage, is a tactic that discredits the believer, the wicked ones know this, it is their goal to discredit us. It is best not to allow them to manipulate us, so that they have to outright lie about us, it's better than the evil one having a half truth to tell. If we have to say to anyone something is only partly true, then those hearing will believe all that the liar said. Most people aren't able to discern truth when it is mixed with half lies.

This happens in personal relationships too! If someone wants to sin or is jealous of us, they will manage to see everything we say and do, not in truth, but based on the lies the devil is telling them. They are irrational in their ability to assess truth, it is based on what they want, not on reality.

"Expected" words and actions can be what is heard and seen instead of what actually happened. Because the hater has contempt for their target, they will negatively spin everything they say and do to reflect the way the narcissist wants to think of them.

It is everywhere all the time now, our culture has lost it's mind and continues to get worse as God said would happen in these last days.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

Keep in mind that Christ knows all about this, the more we are educated on this subject, knowing God's Word and being led by the Holy Spirit, the less impact of the evil ones on our life.
