Resurrection Day is not Commanded by God

There is no mandate in the Word of God to celebrate the resurrection as a separate holiday, we do that every time we come together in the Lord's Supper.

God commanded the Lord's supper but never instituted any other holiday for the Christian.

The "Resurrection" day was instituted as "Easter" by the Catholic church. Believers attempted to recover from "Easter" by calling it Resurrection day, but they cannot recover because God never told us to do it anyway.

Whenever we do things our own way, they always go badly. Now we have a tradition that God never commanded, while everyone is pressured to partake in.

I left all that behind when I left the Catholic church and then I began to evaluate the traditions of the Protestants and discovered most of those were never commanded by God.

I love the Lord's supper, first because it is commanded by Christ and secondly because it is simple and peaceful in worship. God's holidays are not burdensome and chaotic as man's tend to be.

Many if not most people who celebrate the man centered holidays neglect the ones God commanded, such as the Lord's Supper.

Knowing Truth is not Enough

These days people are clamoring for knowledge but it's of no use to them because they are not wise enough to know what to do with it. Also I find that many people are satisfied with just "knowing" they don't care if they are actually "being."

God Names the Arrogant Person

Proverbs 21:24-25
"24 "Proud," "Haughty," "Scoffer," are his names, Who acts with insolent pride. 25 The desire of the sluggard puts him to death, For his hands refuse to work;…"

God names those who are insolently prideful, their names are, "Proud", "Haughty" and "Scoffer."

"Haughty" means disdainful and superior to others.

"Proud" means having a high opinion of oneself above others.

"Scoffer" means to mock others with contempt for them.
