Mocking Noah?

For years I was told that the people mocked Noah for claiming there would be a flood. I was challenged about this a few years ago and realized those who challenged me were right that the Bible does not say that the people mocked and laughed at Noah.

Nothing in the Bible proves they laughed at Noah. However, they probably did because they mock us today and people haven’t changed.

I think it is alright to say "the people probably mocked and laughed at Noah" just because of the fact that mankind is the same in every generation, in our day they mock us about the rapture, about the flood and about many things we believe in the Bible.

Since the people of Noah's day were just as ungodly as in our day it makes sense that the devil would manipulate their minds the way he manipulates the minds of people today. He works the same way in every generation.

So lets not become too concerned whether or not the people mocked Noah, lets just believe God when He said the people below the boat perished because of their intensely wicked sinfulness.

Genesis 6:11 "11 Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for [b]humanity had corrupted its way upon the earth."

I cannot imagine a wicked and perverse generation that did not laugh at the things of God, they always do.

If You are Complaining you are not loving!

If a man is writing a post to complain about women, avoid these men. My guess is they are not showing respect themselves to the women.

Do they stand up when a woman walks in the room?

Do they take off their hat in the presence of a woman?

Do they pull out the chair for the woman?

Do they hold her arm when going down the stairs?

Do they speak respectfully all the time to the woman?

Do they treat their mother-in-law with respect?

Do they prefer their wife over their mothers?

Do they bless their wives with affection even during a disagreement?

Do they speak well of their own wives when the wife is not around to hear?

Do they foster respect for the wife in front of the children?

I could make this list longer, but my guess is that the man who complains about his wife is not following the scriptural mandate to treat his wife with tenderness as the weaker vessel, protecting her from those who are disrespectful including their children.

1 Peter 3:7 "You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered."

Gentlemen, if you are doing all these things, acting with great kindness to your wife then this is not for you, but if you fail in any one of these things you need to pray to become the man God told you to be for the sake of your wife.

Women respond well to this kind of love!

Christ Paid it All

Christ paid the debt we owed, it is finished because He said so!!!! You cannot help Him pay this debt, it was His alone for us!!!

The Rainbow of God

One Christian leader whose name escapes me right now, suggested that we fight back with the rainbow flag. The logic was that the real flag has 7 colors and the LBGQ flag has 6 colors.

It makes sense that the rainbow would have 7 colors since God's number is 7. And, it makes sense that the flag of the perverted has 6 because six is the number of man.

My response to this suggestion that we put up a rainbow flag depicting the real rainbow of God is that we do not fight against flags or flesh and blood.

Ephesians 6:12 "12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. "

Satan loves to see us fighting people instead of bringing them the gospel.

If you fly the flag depicting the colors of God most people will not know what you are doing and think you have aligned yourself with the gay agenda.

We have no need to do the "one-upmanship" thing with others just to tweak their feelings.

My objective is not to fight with others about silly things like banners. My suggestion is to completely ignore their foolish banter to show off and do what we know to be right.

It is better to speak the gospel of Jesus Christ to an unsaved person than to do the "banner for banner" thing. We are not to fight against or mock people, it does not win them to Christ and may even make them more resistant.

I am more likely to mock a Christian who is resisting the truth than an unsaved person who won't know better.

1 Corinthians 15:50

"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption."

When we love as Christ loved our objective in life ought not to be to wrangle against others over foolish things, but to remain staunch in the truth without an attitude of superiority.

Proverbs 26: 4-5 – "Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes. The self-confident fool thinks too highly of himself and his opinions, and he shares them freely."

We are not to be like the fool, that is thinking too highly of ourselves, that we would not bother to share the gospel with the unsaved. We were just like the fool before we became born-again.

If we have the fruit of the Spirit of Christ we will have empathy for those who are perishing.

1 Corinthians 1:18-19 "18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. 19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”

If we engage with foolish people according to their taunts and antics we are becoming just like them, it only makes them feel justified and solidifies their resolve to resist what we have to offer.

Jesus Christ mocked the religious leaders because they should have known better and they loved their power over others more than they loved God.

Matthew 23:4-6 "…4They tie up heavy, burdensome loads and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. 5 All their deeds are done for men to see. They broaden their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels. 6They love the places of honor at banquets, the chief seats in the synagogues,…"

Showing off is a sign of pride even if only to put up a flag to say "we are better than you."

A Dead Country and a Coming Rapture

Our country is dead because Christ is not being upheld, no matter what all the apostate churches may say.

God has given us the leaders we deserve, corrupted and pagan because the people didn't care about God no matter all their begging God to bless America.

Isaiah 1:14-16 "…14 I hate your New Moons and your appointed feasts. They have become a burden to Me; I am weary of bearing them. 15 When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; even though you multiply your prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood. 16 Wash and cleanse yourselves. Remove your evil deeds from My sight. Stop doing evil!…"

There comes a time when God gives a nation over to their debauchery, even in the houses that were built for worshiping God, they have negated and diminished God's Word to the degree that it has been relegated to an insignificant book of suggestions that nearly all "Christians" ignore and even disdain.

Matthew 7:21-23 "21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"

Our only hope now is that many will repent and become born-again before the soon coming rapture.

The Ultra's Come From Pride

Ultra-conservatism and ultra-liberalism are both driven by one thing that dominates both of them, which is personal pride.

Proverbs 16:18

"18 Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

I am not saying we ought to be middle of the road, I am saying we ought to evaluate the things we believe based on the bible not on anything cultural.

It has been my experience that "ultra" anything tends to be locked into thought patterns that are not necessarily Biblical.

A good example of this is the "us vs them" mentality that motivates people to be less loving and more exclusive. Even in churches, we find people cliquing up in one camp or another.

Perhaps we ought not to label ourselves by these labels but rather just simple speak the truth of God. We don't need to be in a group or camp that has a label.

For example, those Christians I have met who are ultra-conservative are more bent on protecting their own rights than they are on evangelism. They want to save the country to be what is comfortable to them without regard to how many people hear the gospel that saves from hell.

Ultra liberals are the same, protecting their own rights without regard for the right of others to think differently.

In these "ultra" groups there is no discussion just rules.

I notice the "ultra" crowds are more combative and less loving than those who do not assign themselves to either group.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

"4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. 5 It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, 6 it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 it [a]keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of [b]prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with."

When we follow Christ we might be seen as radical because we are so different from the culture. "Conservatism" is a worldly term based on human knowledge and many who are of this ilk are not born-again.

Please do not assume someone is born-again because they are "ultra-conservative."

Someone who is born-again will not fit into any human category, they are an entity all their own literally linked to one another through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Conservatism is linked to government and culture, not to Christ. Let's not forget this!

1 John 1:7

"7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin."

Conservatism or liberalism doesn't cleanse anyone from sin nor does it send anyone to heaven or hell. Christ is the Only Way to heaven.

The Average Silent Treatment

The average silent treatment from a narcissist is about 4 and a half days. Sometimes they will go weeks and months if they have other narcissistic supply from other people who will keep them feeling safe in spite of what they are doing to their target.

The silent treatment is designed to cause intense frustration to the point of deep hurt and irrational thinking.

If the target of a narcissist begs the narcissist to speak to them or resolve something the victim can expect the silent treatment to continue longer. The more a target attempts to talk or resolve things the worse the narcissist becomes.

The best thing to do is to ignore the tantrum of the narcissist and get on with your life until they are ready to be sorry. They can become sorry because you are not responding but not because they are sorry they acted badly. Everything is manipulation to bring about their own desires.

I have seen the silent treatment go on for 10 years and longer. When someone ghosts another person for months and years we can count the relationship as over and move on to those who do care about a rational and caring relationship.

I have a saying the Lord gave me. "If someone makes it clear they don't want me, then I go away and give them what they want. "

God does this too with people who have rejected Him. He does not go chasing after them hoping one more encounter will be the one time they finally love Him. God is a gentleman, He will never force anyone to love Him, nor will He be there for them when they try to use Him at times of difficulty.

Proverbs 1:27-29 "…27 when your dread comes like a storm, and your destruction like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish overwhelm you. 28 Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; they will earnestly seek me, but will not find me. 29 For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the LORD.…"

We can expect more of this attitude in these last days, it is good to know what we are watching so we will not be emotionally drawn into their tactics.

1 Corinthians 15:33

"Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

When someone comes at us with hate and manipulation it is easy to find ourselves responding to them the same way they treated us, it's human nature. The devil is the author of all of this. If he can get us to act the way we are treated by others he can destroy our faith and witness as a believer.

Proverbs

"Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare."

"I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites. I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked."

"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away."

Cain Killed Able out of Jealousy

Sometimes you may wonder why people talk behind your back, why they hate you, why they do the things they do to you.

It's not that you have a problem, it's because they can't stand the favor of God on your life.

That's why you don't need to stress yourself over people who are determined to frustrate or misunderstand you.

You have to understand that not everyone will like you but everyone shall witness that you are favored by the Lord.

Stand firm in God and what you believe in and no one can shake you.

The Church has become Apostate!

As I was perusing the internet today looking for church gatherings I saw such nonsense on the sites of those who were advertising their particular denominations that made me feel sick inside from all the foolishness I saw.

One group had pictures of each of the people who were leaders in the group. When you clicked on the picture of each of them they made a face, tongue sticking out, angry face, silly face, each one a different expression.

I could not understand why "leaders" would want to act foolishly concerning worship and God's Word. This is the state of our modern churches, they are so flippant about God that they are willing to be foolish to entice people to come to their gatherings. This leads me to believe those who would come would be just as half-witted and flippant as the leaders.

Anyone who would attend a church gathering because it was foolish and silly would not be serious about Christ, righteousness, true evangelism, or people in general.

When foolishness to entice people is a main tactic there is also self-focus. Someone who acts foolish to gain the attention of others is more interested in people liking them than they are in truth and righteousness. And, THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY ARE SHOWING US. They win people to themselves but not to Christ.

There are so many clues in modern gatherings that anyone who is led by the Spirit of God will be able to see it without trying. Using worship teams and leaders is entertainment oriented. People do not lead worship, the Holy Spirit leads worship, but these groups love to have prominence in the group by being upfront performing.

If worship teams were designed to help others worship then why are they not in the back of the church where no one can see them? Just saying!

No person helps another person worship, this is the job of the Holy Spirit. If we are following a person then we are not led by the Spirit.

If anyone is coming to the gathering because a jester made a funny face then they have not come to hear about Christ, but to have a fun time. This is the very reason our churches have become abominations, they entice unbelievers to come and then play to the audience to keep them entertained.

Matthew 23:15-16 "… 15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You traverse land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are. 16 Woe to you, blind guides! You say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’"

Anyone who comes into these modern gatherings with the hope of directing the group back to the Bible is ignored, dismissed, and even rejected. We know this because those who are serious about the Lord do not stay in these gatherings.

Matthew 23:13

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let in those who wish to enter."

The modern churches today are no different from the Pharisees of the Bible with their traditions and parading about using titles to intimidate people into honoring them instead of Christ.

Galatians 4:16-17 "…16 Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? 17 Those people are zealous for you, but not in a good way. Instead, they want to isolate you from us, so that you may be zealous for them."

My heart grieves at times over the foolishness that many Christians are displaying in their communities. Being seen as special and fun has created a false Christianity as the example we see most of the time.

One of the reasons I believe we are in the last days is because of the state of the apostate churches. They have a form of religion but deny Christ in the way they operate their lives. They are more concerned about being accepted by the world than they are in worshiping Jesus Christ Who died for them.

This is also why I am convinced most people who say they are Christians were never born-again is because they are more interested in being elevated themselves than they are in elevating Christ.
