Traditions of Men are Often Irrational Thinking

Have you ever found yourself questioning everything you were taught because those who taught it were inconsistent and chaotic?

The men of cultural tradition begin to appear foolish. God reveals that their rules and ideas were never given by God; their chaotic, irrational thinking has no Biblical support.

When we compare God's Word with what the culture believes, we find that more things are unreasonable and senseless. We cannot trust our cultural traditions when we become born again.

1 Corinthians 2:13-15 "…13 And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 14 The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment."

What most people say and do is based on their cultural thinking and not on the principles given to us by God.

John 14:17 "the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you."

Romans 8:7 "because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so."

Jude 1:19 "These are the ones who cause divisions, who are worldly and devoid of the Spirit."

When we place our trust in Christ, we will not be accepted by the world and that means most people.

Beware of Who You Hang Around With

Institutional Churches

I left the institutional church because I was chasing after God!!!! The system of box churches distracts from walking with God with their unbiblical expectations and traditions that God never gave.

Many superficial believers who love to be told everything to do and be by men will judge those who have left those traditions and expectations to follow hard after Jesus Christ.

The settings and practices of most church systems today keep people from growing when "leadership" sidetracks us from the leading of the Holy Spirit placing men in charge of our lives, usurping the Holy Spirit.

Rather than encouraging people to seek Christ privately and personally, they demand through subtle expectation that we follow them as a group.

Those who are excited about their new freedom in Christ to seek the Holy Spirit are excluded, judged as unspiritual or as walking away from God when just the opposite is true.

I recall in my study of narcissism, one of the tactics of the devil, while using people, often accuses us of what they are doing and we are not. They count themselves as doing the right thing by adhering to the traditions and customs of men in the organized church system while we are somehow defying the church.

The truth is that most "Christians" in the large organized church system is that they are following rituals and practices devised by men, not given by God.

May every born again believer take time to evaluate in prayer whether they are walking with Christ or following man.
