What is Respect

What is respect?

Valuing the person as special to us is respect, it does not mean that we agree with everything they do and say, but that we value them. Realizing they have flaws like we have flaws, but that they also have strengths, perhaps even strengths we do not have.

It is jealousy and an attitude of superiority that rejects someone because they are not what we want them to be. Those who diminish others because of jealousy are child like in their response to life. They cannot be happy for the successes of others because their own success must trump and rise above any that someone else may have .

Those who love are not jealous, they are pleased with the joys of others, as long as they are not sin. Love allows differences in ways of doing things and in personality traits even enjoys the differences.

Those that attempt to dominate others are generally those who lack personality, they must be elevated and accepted by others in order to feel whole.

Someone who feels whole are free to have a personality in genuineness because they are not encumbered with the baggage of having to impress anyone else, they are pleased in their own skin and satisfied with their life. This is not pride, it is merely joyful at what God is doing in them, He gets all the praise.

When we have trusted Christ we lose that competitive spirit, the need to feel special or superior to others.

Since we know we had to come in brokenness over our sinfulness, we can freely trust Christ and be satisfied in what He is doing in us. We have no need to impress anyone or be better in any way to anyone else, leaving us free to enjoy our own accomplishments as well as the accomplishments of those we love.

When you meet someone who cannot compliment others for their accomplishments and even act embarrassed at your joys and progress, you have encountered a burdened and miserable person who is not free in their spirit. These people need to go to Christ for salvation, becoming released from their self righteousness and spirit of competition.

Romans 12:15
"15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep."

When we are free in Christ, we have no restraints on our responses to life in honesty and integrity.

Hallelujah, God can do this in anyone who wants Him to do it.

Modern Day Pharisees

It was the Pharisees, the self righteous religious leaders who crucified Christ.

The legalists are often the worst when it comes to disapproval over things that are not even Biblical.

We should be preaching and striving for holiness, but no according to our own standards. It is God's heart that we must acquire, becoming so by continual confession and focusing on Christ.

When we focus on Christ, there is nothing we will feel prideful about ourselves. We are free from the pretense of self righteousness when Christ is our focus.

We see our own unworthiness when we compare ourselves to Christ. When we compare ourselves to others we are likely to see what we want to see about them that makes them less than us, while ignoring all the good parts of those we judge. Many who judge others do it on the basis of gossip, not even hard evidence against the one they target. The desire to believe evil about someone without good evidence, is the jealousy that lives deeply inside.

Self righteousness always brings false judgment on others, even disproportionate to their imperfections. And, guess what? Everyone has warts, to believe we have none, is to elevate ourselves to the status of god.

Romans 3:23
"23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

Those who must be superior to others, judging everything falsely, are Pharisees, they cannot be saved because they have not come to Christ in the realization that they are nothing and in need of a Savior. They may even "say" they are sinners in need of a Savior and then proceed to "act" as though they never did anything that required saving grace.

Matthew 23:1-15
Pharisaism Exposed
23 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples,
2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses;
3 therefore all that they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do not do them. 4 They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as a finger.
5 But they do all their deeds to be noticed by men; for they broaden their phylacteries and lengthen the tassels of their garments.
6 They love the place of honor at banquets and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 and respectful greetings in the market places, and being called Rabbi by men.
8 But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers.
9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
10 Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ.
11 But the greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.
13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
14 [Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive greater condemnation.]
15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

Matthew 23:23-28 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.
24 You blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!
25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self-indulgence.
26 You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that the outside of it may become clean also.
27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

The Lie of the Miracle of the Nephilim Offspring

The whole idea of angels having relations with women is an attempt of the pagans to make angels as powerful as God. It diminishes what God did in the conception of Christ in Mary. It was a miracle only God could do. Angels are created beings that do not pro-create even among themselves, they have no power to create a human child.

Nephilim are not a result of human and angel, they are merely giants that were in the land at the time when godly men married pagan women. To believe there was another conception by a spirit other than God and Mary, is a way of negating God's miracle in the conception of Christ in Mary. It is blasphemous and comes from the book of Enoch, which isn't even the Enoch of the Bible who wrote it. It was not accepted as a part of the Bible because it was full of contradictions and unbiblical matters.

Also, lets take a look at the legistics of the matter.

In the Book of Enoch it says the giants were 450 feet tall. A human child is 30% the height of the mother. That would mean that a 5:2" woman would be giving birth to a 145 foot baby, this is just silly. The angels have no gender, the Bible says so, they do not have the necessary equipment to impregnate a human woman. They have no seed to make babies since they do not procreate. They are a totally different species. God said that "each one after it's own kind", meaning one species cannot mate with another one.

The Deception is Already Here in Various Forms

We can see how easily the "Christian pretenders" will accept the anti-christ. These people already fawn all over people who are deceivers, famous preachers and conservative political leaders, ignoring all the obvious clues of the deception they remain spiritually blind by their own desire to have an idol in their lives. Someone they can see that "appears" to be what they want, that is peace and safety. We see forms of this deception right now, it is not hard to envision how it will look when the beast reveals himself.
