Where Does Our Security Lie?

Our security now is not based on pretending everything will be all right in this world of chaos and evil. Our security is in knowing Christ, depending on Him every day as we seek to honor Him by obedience to His principles.

The greatest worship we can offer God is our "reasonable service." That is to serve Him the way He wants to be served.

So many people think they can make up their own way and God is suppose to love it and bless it. However, if our way is not what God told us to do then we are out of His will even if it seems like a good deed.

God is more about our obedience to Him than all our selfishly concocted ideas of what we an do our own way.

Jeremiah 6:20 "“For what purpose does frankincense come to Me from Sheba
And the [a]sweet cane from a distant land?
Your burnt offerings are not acceptable
And your sacrifices are not pleasing to Me.”"

Isaiah 1:11-16 "“What are your multiplied sacrifices to Me?”
Says the Lord.
“I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
And the fat of fed cattle;
And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs or goats.
12 “When you come to appear before Me,
Who requires of you this trampling of My courts?
13 “Bring your worthless offerings no longer,
Incense is an abomination to Me.
New moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies—
I cannot endure iniquity and the solemn assembly.
14 “I hate your new moon festivals and your appointed feasts,
They have become a burden to Me;
I am weary of bearing them.
15 “So when you spread out your hands in prayer,
I will hide My eyes from you;
Yes, even though you multiply prayers,
I will not listen.
Your hands are covered with blood.
16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
Cease to do evil,"

All the good deeds of this culture are to glorify self. We know this because those who do them make sure everyone knows about it. Feeling special about self is far more important to most Christians today than seeking God for His Will.

If you would like to test this simply tell the truth of the Word of God to a cultural Christian and watch them become agitated even rage when exposed. They are sweetness and light when they are being validated and praised but turn into angry vengeful monsters when told perhaps they ought to evaluate their own heart to see if their motives are pure. The phrase you will hear is "don't judge me." In modern terms what they are really saying is "don't tell me what to do."

The "don't tell me" generation does not tolerate correction, rebuke or admonishment to seek the Lord.

2 Timothy 4:2-4 "…2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…"

God clearly commanded the church to keep one another accountable every single day.

Hebrews 3:12-14 "12See to it, brothers, that none of you has a wicked heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God. 13But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly to the end the assurance we had at first.…"

The "don't judge" mantra comes out of a generation that will not listen to correction in violation of God's own word. We are living in the end times in which it is considered unkind and rude to correct anyone at any time.

In our day the one who corrects to help bring people to the truth is the one who is chastised while their character is maligned. That's alright, they did it to the apostles and to Christ too, why should we escape it?!!!

We must obey God and do it anyway always according to the principles of the Bible. What others do with it is not on us, their response is on them.

May the Lord make us strong in these difficult times and may He bring people to us who want to hear the truth and would be encouraged themselves by our boldness in Christ to become bold too.

The Tipping Point

When a nation reaches the "tipping point" of sin there is no returning. We as a nation are at the tipping point. A good illustration of this is what my husband says now, that is if you tip a coffee cup on its edge as it tips just a little more it will fall over, there is no way to stop it, the cup is going to fall.

I wonder sometimes how a believer could look at the evil in this nation and still think God is going to save it or bless it. He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for less that what is happening now in America. He also flooded the world because of less than what is happening right now.

Our sins as a nation are utterly monstrous but so many have lived in it all their lives and it feels normal to them. They don't like it much but they still think God will not judge it.

We have all been brainwashed that America is special above all the nations, our pride is way over the top!!!

Our sin of abortion alone is enough that we must be punished even if we were to repent. When someone kills someone in our culture they go to jail for the rest of their life or are executed whether or not they are repentant, they still must be punished.

The pride of this nation is an entitlement mentality, believing God has an obligation to save us or that He thought we were more special than other nations.

Like a spoiled child who has been arrested, our country says; "my Daddy will get me out of this", but God will not continue to bless a nation that is so prideful and entitled. In fact, He will remove whatever blessings we have had.

As usual for a spoiled child, the nation will whine and cry about their punishment but never become sorry for what they have done.

Raging Insanity of our Times

Copied and pasted: from Carole Cellos Mancuso

Not my words...but I am feeling the same..

"I never dreamed that I would have to face the prospect of not living in the United States of America, at least not the one I have known all my life. I have never wished to live anywhere else. This is my home and I was privileged to be born here.

But today I woke up and as I had my morning coffee I realized that everything is about to change. No matter how I vote, no matter what I say, something evil has invaded our nation, and our lives are never going to be the same. I have been confused by the hostility of family and friends. I look at people I have known all my life so filled with hate that they will agree with opinions that if they were in their right minds they would never express as their own. It's absolutely unbelievable. I think that I may well have entered the Twilight Zone.....then I saw this and I think that it's pretty close to describing how I feel.

I'm not starting a fight, but it is something to think about. This may open up a ton of outraged comments by some. Many who will argue how "wrong" this post is. My suggestion, save your time and effort! You're not changing the reality of what we are living by trying to somehow justify this insanity.

Nevertheless, I couldn't resist because we are becoming the Twilight Zone. We have become a nation that has lost its collective mind!

• If a dude pretends to be a woman, you are required to pretend with him.
• Somehow it’s un-American for the census to count how many Americans are in America.
• Russians influencing our elections are bad, but illegals voting in our elections are good.
• It was cool for Joe Biden to "blackmail" the President of Ukraine, but it’s an impeachable offense if Donald Trump inquires about it.
• Twenty is too young to drink a beer, but eighteen is old enough to vote.
• People who have never owned slaves should pay slavery reparations to people who have never been slaves.
• Inflammatory rhetoric is outrageous, but harassing people in restaurants is virtuous.
• People who have never been to college should pay the debts of college students who took out huge loans for their degrees.
• Immigrants with tuberculosis and polio are welcome, but you’d better be able to prove your dog is vaccinated.
• Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate must go through a rigorous vetting process, but any illiterate gang-bangers who jump the southern fence are welcome.
• $5 billion for border security is too expensive, but $1.5 trillion for “free” health care is not.
• If you cheat to get into college you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country you go to college for free.
• People who say there is no such thing as gender are demanding a female President.
• We see other countries going Socialist and collapsing, but it seems like a great plan to us.
• Some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, and other people are not held responsible for what they are doing right now.
• Criminals are catch-and-released to hurt more people, but stopping them is bad because it's a violation of THEIR rights.

And pointing out all this hypocrisy somehow makes us "racists"?!
Nothing makes sense anymore, no values, no morals, no civility and people are dying of a Chinese virus, but it's racist to refer to it as Chinese even though it began in China. We are clearly living in an upside down world where right is wrong and wrong is right, where moral is immoral and immoral is moral, where good is evil and evil is good, where killing murderers is wrong, but killing innocent babies is right, where darkness is light and light is now darkness.

Wake up America, the great unsinkable ship Titanic America has hit an iceberg, is taking on water and sinking fast. There's only one life boat that can save you, and that is Jesus Christ. You can either get in or go down with the ship into the deep dark sea of eternal death. The choice is yours to make. What will it be? Time is short, make your choice wisely!
Don’t waste your time trying to debate me! This is my opinion and you have yours so keep on scrolling!
Very accurate and disturbing.....but TRUE !

Response by Gwendolyn Wehage in the following:

Remember the words of God in 2 Timothy 3:1-5
"3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of [b]godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these."

In the very first verse we see the words "difficult times", this in the original language means; "ragingly insane times." This is what we are seeing right now every day.

Nothing anymore makes good sense. There was a day when the "crazy fringe" was frowned upon by everyone, now the rational people are the fringe and the irrational people are the majority.

Did you know that pagan religions speak in tongues in their worship?

Those Who Escape the Wrath of God

Job escaped the wrath of God because God counted him as righteous and for the sake of Abraham since he was Abraham's nephew. The rest of the cities of the plains, as well as Sodom and Gomorrah, were destroyed because they were wicked.

Noah and his family was saved from the flood because he was a righteous man who obeyed God. The rest of the world was destroyed because of their wickedness.

Ezekiel 18:20 "20 The soul who sins is the one who will die. A son will not bear the iniquity of the father, and a father will not bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will fall upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked man will fall upon him."

The born again believers will be taken in the rapture before the wrath of God because they are counted as righteous because of Christ.

Hebrews 13:8 "8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

Ezekiel 18:20

"20 The soul who sins is the one who will die. A son will not bear the iniquity of the father, and a father will not bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will fall upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked man will fall upon him."
