Only Christ is Superior

The born again believer walking with Christ has no need to be superior to others. We know that everyone falls short of the glory of God therefore no one is superior to anyone else.

Since we know we all needed a Savior, we also realize that our goal in life must be to glorify God.

Romans 3:23
"23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

Romans 3:9-10 "9 What then? Are we any better? Not at all. For we have already made the charge that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin. 10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one. 11 There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God."

When we understand this principle that no one is good and no one is better than anyone else we will have no need to prove ourselves.

1 John 1:8
"If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."

Those who remain stuck in the desire to be superior to others are living in continual turmoil in their own hearts. It is a burden to have to convince others constantly how much better they are than others. And an even greater burden if they think they have no accomplished this. There is also the added burden of being faced with a sense of failure if someone else comes along and accomplishes more than they.

Philippians 2:3-4
"Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others."

Our culture has been teaching for 50 years that we should all focus on ourselves to elevate and promote ourselves. God says just the opposite, that we can enjoy our accomplishments but that we should always be seeking to elevate others above ourselves.

Philippians 2:2-4 "…2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being united in spirit and purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.…"

Do Not Be Blinded to the Truth

So many people are blinded now to the truth, it is agonizing to watch how many people believe false doctrine and defend those who are deceiving them.

There are many false ideas in the church today. Ideas that defile the gathering and cause sin to grow within the church.

Because the church is full of apostates and pretenders very little of the Bible is being obeyed even when these same people say; "we are a Bible-believing church." They can speak this language all they want but they are lying. "Bible-believing" means one is referring to the Bible for everything all the time.

I see many people fighting against the principles of the Bible, preferring their favorite preachers over the infallible word of God. If their favorite preachers declare something as truth the hearers refuse to hear the truth from the Bible that exposes the error or their preachers.

When this happens the preacher takes priority over God!!!! When a preacher cannot be corrected by the Scripture then that preacher is a god in the eyes of those who sit under him.

When a preacher is paid he is also at the mercy of those who pay him. The one-man pastor cannot be objective when their salary comes from those listening to him.

The only evidence of this we need is the condition of the apostate church today. Most people who attend these gatherings cannot repeat back to anyone the gospel. They are often embarrassed to do so if they did know it.

Never trust one man for your theology, trust only Jesus Christ, His Word the Bible, and the Holy Spirit that lives in you. No preacher could teach you better than the Holy Spirit can, let that sink it, please.

Psalm 118:8
"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man."

Micah 7:5
"Put no trust in a neighbor; have no confidence in a friend; guard the doors of your mouth against her who lies in your arms;"

Jeremiah
"Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord."

Psalm 118:9
"It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes."
(this would include your president or any other world leader)

Psalm 40:3-4
"He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie!"

Save only your praises for God Himself, never for any man!

This Life is a Flash

This life is not all there is nor is it very much. This life has been given us to choose Christ and to learn many things God has to teach us.

This life is a flash in the pan, coming and going very quickly.

It is our training ground for the Millennium. What we learn here will be used in the Millennium. This is my opinion because I can't believe that we will go into that time with Christ starting all over and leaving behind everything we learned on earth. I believe this life is boot camp for the born again believer.

Proverbs 1:5
"Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,"

Proverbs 1:7
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction."

Proverbs 18:15
"An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge."

The Best Prayer for Families

My prayer for my family is not that God will meet all their needs. Nor that He will make them happy or give them their desires. My prayer for my family is that they see their need for Christ, repent of their pride and "self-will" and be changed into a new creation by Christ. And whatever that takes, whatever God thinks is needed is my prayer, His will, His way.
