Wise Verses Foolish

It is amusing when someone shares everything they wish to say and then accuses us of "shoving our views down their throat" when we share ours.
The one who accuses is the one who is pushing, they are pushing to be heard and care nothing about hearing others.
Proverbs 18:2
"2 A fool does not delight in understanding,
But in revealing his own mind."
We know we have encountered a foolish person when their opinion is the only one allowed. This is a person who cannot learn because they never listen.
Proverbs 12:15 "15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to counsel. 16 A fool’s anger is known at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult."
It is a very insecure person who becomes easily angered merely because someone does not agree with them.
Proverbs 16:2
"All a man's ways are pure in his own eyes, but his motives are weighed out by the LORD."
Proverbs 3:7
"Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil."
Proverbs 14:16
"A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident."
When we are confident in the Lord we have no reason to be offended at an insult or disagreement. We know where our confidence comes from and it is not in ourselves but in Jesus Christ Who lives in us.

We must Pray, we must Seek the Word and then we will have Wisdom

1 Corinthians 2:13- 5 "…13 And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 14 The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment.…"
If we do not judge we will become simple-minded without discernment.
Those who use the mantra "don't judge" do not know the Word of God. Clearly, we are to make judgments about the activities of the in the body of Christ, as well as lifestyles.
1 Corinthians 3:1
"Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly--as infants in Christ."
In this passage, Paul is telling the people they are spiritual infants because of his observations about their responses to life and their propensity to view things superficially.
Paul is telling the people in 1 Corinthians 3 that the focus of the people has become worldly rather than Christ-oriented. He is emphasizing their fleshly propensity to elevate men above Christ, to look to men for their direction instead of Christ.
We have godly teachers in the church but every one of them should be evaluated according to the Bible and not their worldly credentials. They must be tested with a challenge when they error, what comes out of them will tell you if they are full of arrogance or humble enough to receive a correction.
When we do challenge someone we ought to be using scripture, not our own opinions or desires, only Scripture.
Between two godly Christians, leaders or not we ought to be able to calmly and with love share our findings and pray until there is agreement.
Amos 3:3 - "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"
Acts 2:1-47 - "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place."
1 Corinthians 1:10-11
"10 Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For I have been informed concerning you, my brothers and sisters, by Chloe’s people, that there are quarrels among you."
If there are disagreements we ought to be able to pray and study until there is agreement.
The sad thing in our culture is that most church attendees depend on the seminary-educated graduate to tell them what to believe instead of the Holy Spirit Who lives in them.
Many people will not believe anyone who is not considered educated by human institutions, their trust is in those degrees and titles rather than in Christ.
When we trust the Holy Spirit we will listen to teachers with discernment and Scripture. Our education comes from the Holy Spirit and the simpelist minded person can understand anything when it is the Holy Spirit Who speaks to them.
Psalm 119:129-130 "…129 Wonderful are Your testimonies; therefore I obey them. 130 The unfolding of Your words gives light; it informs the simple. 131 I open my mouth and pant, longing for Your commandments.…"
The more we seek Christ, read His Word and pray for understanding the more we will know the truth. Many people who attend the colleges made by man are following man not Christ. They are teaching what man tells them to believe and not what Christ tells us.
Psalm 19:7
"The Law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making wise the simple."
Psalm 49:3
"My mouth will impart wisdom, and the meditation of my heart will bring understanding."
Psalm 119:98
"Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for they are always with me."
Psalm 119:104
"I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore I hate every false way."
Proverbs 6:23
"For this commandment is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way to life"
Seek Christ through prayer and His Word first, then there will be understanding.

Think Before You Speak

Everyone has been given a measure of faith!

God has given every human being a measure of faith to be able to ask God Who He is. We know this because of the following passage.
Romans 1:19-21 "…19 For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and darkened in their foolish hearts.…"

The DNA of the Mother is Stronger than the DNA of the Father

"We inherit more genes from our maternal side. That's because it's the egg, not the sperm, that hands down all of the mitochondrial DNA. In addition, the W chromosome has more genes."
Allison Aubrey (Weekly Dose of Wonder)
Does anyone else find this interesting? I sure do as I ponder that Mary the mother of Jesus Christ was chosen to give birth, coming from the line of David.
I find it interesting that in our culture often the Father is preferred over the Mother merely for being the Father when it is the Mother who supplies most of what the child needs.
I am a big fan of loving both parents, just because one is the leader does not make him better or even best, it is his function in the family a different role from the mother but neither role is superior to the other, they both matter and they both count.
When mother and father obey the roles given them by God in the Bible the family is full of love, respect and dedication to the cause of raising up a godly seed.
Malachi 2:15 "
"But not one has done so who has a remnant of the Spirit. And why the one? He was seeking a godly offspring. Be careful then about your spirit, and see that none of you deals treacherously against the wife of your youth."
A culture that deals disrespectfully toward the mother is a pagan culture orchestrated by the devil himself.
1 Peter 3:7 "You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered."
I know this may be a hard pill to swallow but we live in a paganistic culture now in which men disrespect women, mistreat them, use them and abuse them. A man may say; "but the women are acting badly too," yes, however as the leader of the home the men are expected to be the example, they lead by their own example. They are to obey God and leave their wives to God to judge.
If a man acts as he should toward his wife according to the Bible he may find her acting differently merely because of the love she feels emanating from him. We can always blame the other one but it is best to look at ourselves and our own responses evaluating them to see if we are doing what God said to do. Most men and women are not obeying God, they are following their feelings and it has become a disaster for marriages.
Look to Christ and His Word for instructions not what the rest of the culture is doing and especially not in over-the-top reactions to things. We ought never to "react" we are to respond in a godly way.
We can only know what that way is if we are seeking Christ and reading His Word. Ask God to use the Word to change you and it might surprise you what will happen.

Sin is Sin no Matter how Big

1 Corinthians 5:11
"11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is a sexually immoral person, or a greedy person, or an idolater, or is verbally abusive, or habitually drunk, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a person."
Many people think if someone is not doing the "big" sins of adultery or drunkenness they are not sinning. What we often forget is that a sinful attitude without all these blatant actions is just as sinful.

Treating people disrespectfully because they disagree or won't follow what the narcissist wants is as sinful as all those other sins. A controller is self-focused and greedy for attention and superiority. They judge and become angry rashly based on their own desires rather than truth, these people are acting just as sinful as the ones who commit adultery or steal from their neighbors.

Attitudes can be more damaging even than blatant outward acts of sin. Jealousy all by itself is a sin against God and against the people we are envious of as well as a form of murder and hatred.

Envy is hatred and that hatred is murder. Boasting is a form of abuse that creates envy and jealousy in others.

1 John 3:15 "
"Everyone who hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him."

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
"4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. 5 It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, 6 it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

We have known many people who do not commit the big blatant sins openly but hold in their hearts envy, strife, rudeness, and disrespect. Equally abhorrent is the sin of gossiping about people when we have not seen what we hear against them, but take the word and opinion of others to evaluate and judge someone else while passing it on to others.

Many relationships have been ruined by envious jealous people who are full of their own pride.

Envy is wanting what others have and jealousy is feeling threatened by what others have. Our culture tends to make these two traits synonymous but they are different in their function.

With envy, someone might want to try to acquire what someone else has to feel equal to them.

With jealousy comes the desire to ruin what someone else has because we cannot have it.

When we see these covert attitudes that can easily be denied by those who wish to hide them, we know it will be impossible to have a quality relationship with them until they confess to be cleansed of them.

All of us over the years have experienced a twinge of envy or jealousy but if we are born-again we quickly dismiss it and pray to avoid anything that would harm another human being.

Disrespect and lack of love is at the root of all of these devilish traits. Satan was envious of God wanting what He had and because of this, he became jealous to destroy God entirely.

Once someone repents from their envy and jealousy the peace of God rolls over them like a cleansing wind. What a wonderful feeling it is to enjoy the blessings of others without any desire to have it or harm them. It becomes a delight to engage in their joy with them.

As my husband has said many times; "Grief shared is half a grief and a joy shared is twice the joy."

When we indulge in the happiness of others or the pain of others we share their life and give them the gift of companionship as believers are meant to do with one another.

Romans 12:15
"15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep."
What a blessed life we live when we give to others what we would like to see them give to us.

Matthew 7:12
The Golden Rule
12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."

Hallelujah!!!!

The False Church Dominates the Cultural Christianity

I knew of a woman raised in the Catholic church her entire life who placed Mary above Christ. She never once spoke of Jesus Christ in my presence but continually admired and spoke of Mary as the Queen of Heaven.
This woman was full of pride and admiration for someone she thought she should emulate. Sadly she followed this false Mary to her death as she rejected Jesus Christ. Many people are in this condition, worshiping and admiring someone who does not exist, but in their minds rules heaven.
After the Lord saved my soul from false religion all these lies were exposed and I freely, openly and with great joy rejected all that I had been taught. I had the experience of the Catholic church as well as a protestant upbringing that was more cultural than Spiritual. Thank the Lord my eyes were opened to all the lies in both these "religious" systems that had a form of religion but denied Jesus Christ in practice.
The Bible does speak of the "Queen of Heaven", it refers to the harlot who worships the beast.
Revelation 17:5-8
5 and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery: “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
6 And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered greatly.
7 And the angel said to me, “Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.
8 “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who live on the earth, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and will come."
Religious rituals were dominant and superficial in the protestant system as well as the Catholic system. The devil was very clever to make people believe lies under the guise of "religion" but negated Christ by their traditions.
Mark 7:7-9
"7 And in vain do they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
8 Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men.”
9 He was also saying to them, “You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition."
In order to be free from false religion and the practices men have made mandate we must ask God to show us truth and be willing to reject anything we were taught that was man-made dishonoring the Word of God. There is far more than you realize that God never commanded and other things He did command that the churches are not obeying.
Follow Christ authentically by seeking Him instead of men.

Debating Arguers

Those who love to argue are self-absorbed, their entertainment is to frustrate others in debate and win over them through intimidation and mocking.
If discussion or debate is not based on learning a solution or increasing knowledge, then it has no value for emotional and Spiritual growth.
All discussions ought to be for the purpose of learning and resolving not merely winning over someone else. If winning is the purpose then it is best to stop the discussion until the one who contends for the prize stops their foolish arguing and wants to learn and share truth.
Discussion ought to be enjoyable for both parties to engage in intelligent conversation based on truth.
I have heard debates that make both parties look absolutely foolish. They will say the silliest things that are irrational to frustrate the other person, nothing is about truth but it is about agitating the other person, it has no purpose except to cause frustration.
I avoid these kinds of people. When someone walks into a room with an angry demeanor, a saunter in their walk, and a lack of graciousness on their lips, I leave the room.
There is reason to feel sorry for such people, they have no confidence or they would have no need to demean and mock others to elevate themselves, they are sorry specimens.
We know someone is not born-again when they live a lifestyle of anger and superiority. God removes these sinful traits from those He changes into a new creation.
When we have become born again the Holy Spirit comes to live in us bringing with Him the fruit of His Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
We do not have to try to have these traits they are a part of us, and they are our automatic response to every situation. If we slip up and act badly we are convicted by the Holy Spirit and apologize quickly to resolve the hurt we caused. Those who live a lifestyle of anger and argument thinking it is legitimate to act this way, have never been born again. They remain in their sin without conscience over it. Sadly this mentality in our culture is growing and being treated as acceptable by many. God told us to get away from them, these people will never listen to the gospel having no desire to be changed by Christ.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
Difficult Times Will Come
"3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these."
Many of these debaters who are in love with themselves will claim to be Christian, as God said in verse 5, they "have a form of godliness" but are not saved. We are told to avoid these people.
If we are praying for them and they come around at some later time desiring to know Christ, then we can speak to them about Him, otherwise, we must obey God and avoid them.

Life is Wonderful and Enough for the Born-Again Believer

So many people are making up their own ideas about God and His principles that most Christians today believe things God never said and never commanded.
Recently I heard once again the phrase; "Have your fun first before having children." Nowhere in Scripture does God ever say such a thing. If we are this enamored with fun then we are not mature enough to be married and raise a family.
First God must take the pleasure mentality out of someone to be able to take marriage and children seriously. Those who have waited a long time to marry because they wanted to play are not very likely good spouses. Since they delayed responsibility so long it becomes a part of their bone and sinew, they will never mature enough to take life seriously. Most of these people remain immature their entire lives, angry with anyone who might get in the way of their play and adventures.
1 Corinthians 13:11
"11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I [a]became a man, I did away with childish things."
1 Corinthians 3:1,2
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ…
1 Corinthians 14:20
Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
The pleasure mentality is based on selfishness, a need to win at everything, boast of triumphs, and appear special for doing what doesn't matter at all in the Christian life.
We see in our church gatherings this play mentality in the music, the hype, and the lazy casual clothing demonstrating a flippant rebellious child-like attitude toward worship. To the child play is everything, decorum is abhorred, excellence is resisted and mocked while lack of diligence is elevated.
Hedonism is rampant in this culture. Hedonism being the pursuit of all kinds of pleasure. When pleasure is the dominant response to life then good godly sense is absent.
Ecclesiastes 2:1
"2 I said in my heart, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure; enjoy yourself.” But behold, this also was vanity."
The pleasure seeker does not sew seeds of righteousness for others to grow and progress in holiness. This pleasure seeker is hostile to anyone who instructs them to stop pursuing pleasure and begin the work of an evangelist, a father, or a mother who instructs their children in righteousness using the Bible as the instruction book.
Those who love Christ with all their heart will interpret everything they see and do according to the principles and commands of Christ.
A pleasure seeker speaks non-stop about their adventures throwing in a little twisted scripture to justify their desires to indulge themselves. They do not apply God's Word to what they do, they make up their own ideas to justify their pleasures.
When we become mature in the Lord He removes from our hearts the pleasures of the world and replaces them with the pleasure of work, evangelism, speaking, and writing about Him to anyone who will listen. We love to look at the leaves in the fall and praise God for His creation. We love to see the deer walking through our yard with their babies. Everyday life is good enough for the authentic born-again believer in Christ.
Our pleasures as born-again believers are in the simple lovely things of life such as a walk in the park, gardening, and creating things to be used for our families and for others. Our delight is in life itself as it comes to us daily. There is no need for adventures beyond our daily life because all is such a joy when we love God.
Even our hardships are filled with joy as we anticipate gaining strength through trials.
James 1:2-8
Profiting from Trials
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;
8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."
As we work through trials trusting Christ we gain wisdom. Christ always goes through our difficulties with us, we are never alone.
Pleasures almost never teach anything, they are all bound up in self-promotion, boasting, and temporary useless feelings of grandeur. As soon as the pleasure is over those who do them must do another one because the feeling is fleeting and must be repeated, it is never maintained. The feelings in pleasure are not sustainable, another adventure must occur to have the feelings all over again. But our joy in Christ never leaves us no matter what is happening.
I have found that the delights of everyday life are enough to keep my joy and peace continual, no matter what is happening. The joy of the Lord in the Born-again believer never stops even through difficulties and tears there is that deep abiding joy and expectation that God knows what He is doing and even when it hurts He is protecting us and guiding us into a deeper walk with Him.
When we live for Christ life teaches us!!!!

Making Unholy Alliances, Come Out from Among Them

We live in a day when Christians think that we are being unkind when we want to keep our worship pure and undefiled by the world by keeping ourselves separated from the world when we worship our God.
2 Corinthians 6:16-18 "…16 What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” 17 “Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” 18 And: “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”…"
Here is the passage where God speaks about this matter of including unbelievers in the worship of God. When we worship with believers we are yoked and in agreement in our worship and purpose. Non-believers cannot be in agreement. To include unbelievers is hypocrisy on their part because they don't love Christ, and unholy alliances on our part.
God told us to go into the world and make converts then bring them in as saved brothers and sisters. He never told us to go into the world and bring non-believers to the worship of our God.
2 Corinthians 6:14
"14 Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness?"

Those Were The Days | Tennessee Country Store | Official Music Video | R...

This is what should have been happening in Christians's homes but was absent, the father's teaching from the Word. The Fathers were not leading and because of this, we have what we have today, rebelliousness, lack of interest in the Bible as the guiding light as well as resistance to Spiritual teaching of any kind.

Fathers failed, and when mothers tried the children went the way of the Father because it is natural for the pecking order that Fathers lead.

In our day the Fathers who do lead do it in superficial ways as an obligation so the children never become deep in their walk. They pursue pleasure and resist teaching they don't like to hear from the Bible, they cherry-pick what they like and reject the rest.

There is no dedication, there is only cultural ritual without enthusiasm for the Word of God.

Judging Righteous Judgment

We are to judge that which we have seen and according to the scriptures, not what we have not seen and have just heard.

If we do not know we are not asking!

When we ask God for wisdom and to remove from our thinking anything that we were taught that was not from Him it is astounding what He reveals to us.
John 16:24
"24 Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full."
The greatest thing we can ask for is wisdom and truth. Even if we lose all material wealth and still have wisdom we have the most important thing.
John 15:11
"I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.

God Says He Will Vomit!

Trusting in Everything but Christ

It occurred to me this morning in the wee hours as I pondered what is going on around me that so many people are trusting in things that bring them no joy or peace.
Our culture is trusting in their feelings, physical appearance, and physical health. politics, religious theologies, family, entertainment, media of all kinds, their pleasures to make themselves feel better, they are trusting in power over others, their manipulation to make things work out as they please, but the one person they are not trusting in is Jesus Christ.
As we listen to what people speak about I notice the Christian culture is speaking of everything but Jesus Christ.
Many people are proclaiming their rights to demand things from God thinking this is spiritual. They are declaring to God what He must give them merely because they tell Him to give it. They are demanding blessings for a country after He has already given them blessings that they are not grateful to Him for.
The more blessing the Lord gives a country the more they demand it. Our country nor any other country has a right to expect more blessings from God when they are not loving and honoring Him every day.
The blessings have given rise to arrogance and entitlement as so many people believe they have a right to the kind of government they want and the material possessions they have acquired. They think they have a right to be proud and elevated in themselves and by others. Humility is not a desire of their hearts and they do not pray for wisdom according to God but rather seek out the wisdom of man to message their own ego and feelings.
Psalm 146:3-5
"3 Do not trust in noblemen,
In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.
4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth;
On that very day his plans perish.
5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,"
Proverbs 11:28 "He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch."
1 Corinthians 3:18-20
"If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their own craftiness"; and again, "The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile."
Many people think they are wise in their trust in everyone and everything but Christ, but their wisdom and their desires lead them deeper into foolishness as they follow all these things but do not follow Christ.
You might ask; "why do you say the culture does not follow Christ?" We know what the culture follows and trust in by what they speak about continually and how they live their lives.
In this mess of the end times we can find hope only in Jesus Christ. When we see all this trust in the culture for everything but Jesus Christ we can be strong as we trust ONLY in HIm.
God said to the believers who are trusting in Him alone the following:
Isaiah 41:10
"10 Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will also help you,
I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Because we love the Lord with all our heart and are trusting in Him when the culture is trusting in everything but Him, we can expect for the culture to hate us when we do not trust in the things they want us to trust in.
John 15:18-25
Disciples’ Relation to the World
18 “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.
20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they followed My word, they will follow yours also.
21 But all these things they will do to you on account of My name, because they do not know the One who sent Me.
22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23 The one who hates Me hates My Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.
25 But this has happened so that the word that is written in their Law will be fulfilled: ‘They hated Me for no reason.’"
Sadly much of this hatred is coming from "Church gatherings" that proclaim to be Christian. This is because many people who make the declaration that they are Christians have never been born again. There are many false Christians within the ranks of the believers gatherings.
Matthew 13:24-30
The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares
"24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;
25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’
29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
The devil has sewn the tares among the wheat. Fooling many people that they can be a Christian without loving Christ and without a desire to be changed by Him. This wicked one has managed to deceive people that salvation is merely saying words without any desire to follow Christ and without repentance, that is brokenness over their sinfulness.
Psalm 51:17
"17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite (crushed) heart, God, You will not despise."
If there is no crushed heart over one's sinfulness there will be no salvation experience.
Calling oneself a "Christian" or attending a gathering of Christians is not evidence that one is born again.
Matthew 7:21-23 "21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"
God does not say to us that we have lost our salvation because He did not accept us, He says to those who say they are Christians but had no desire to obey Him, "I NEVER knew you." These people only thought they would chose to become a member of the Christian club but were never changed by Christ into a new creation. These are the tares in the church. And, sadly there are more tares in the church today than there are authentically born again believers who have been changed by Christ.
May everyone reading this evaluate whether or not they were authentically saved. This will include those in the pews and those in the pulpit.
2 Corinthians 13:5
"5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!"
