We must Pray, we must Seek the Word and then we will have Wisdom

1 Corinthians 2:13- 5 "…13 And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 14 The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment.…"
If we do not judge we will become simple-minded without discernment.
Those who use the mantra "don't judge" do not know the Word of God. Clearly, we are to make judgments about the activities of the in the body of Christ, as well as lifestyles.
1 Corinthians 3:1
"Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly--as infants in Christ."
In this passage, Paul is telling the people they are spiritual infants because of his observations about their responses to life and their propensity to view things superficially.
Paul is telling the people in 1 Corinthians 3 that the focus of the people has become worldly rather than Christ-oriented. He is emphasizing their fleshly propensity to elevate men above Christ, to look to men for their direction instead of Christ.
We have godly teachers in the church but every one of them should be evaluated according to the Bible and not their worldly credentials. They must be tested with a challenge when they error, what comes out of them will tell you if they are full of arrogance or humble enough to receive a correction.
When we do challenge someone we ought to be using scripture, not our own opinions or desires, only Scripture.
Between two godly Christians, leaders or not we ought to be able to calmly and with love share our findings and pray until there is agreement.
Amos 3:3 - "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"
Acts 2:1-47 - "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place."
1 Corinthians 1:10-11
"10 Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For I have been informed concerning you, my brothers and sisters, by Chloe’s people, that there are quarrels among you."
If there are disagreements we ought to be able to pray and study until there is agreement.
The sad thing in our culture is that most church attendees depend on the seminary-educated graduate to tell them what to believe instead of the Holy Spirit Who lives in them.
Many people will not believe anyone who is not considered educated by human institutions, their trust is in those degrees and titles rather than in Christ.
When we trust the Holy Spirit we will listen to teachers with discernment and Scripture. Our education comes from the Holy Spirit and the simpelist minded person can understand anything when it is the Holy Spirit Who speaks to them.
Psalm 119:129-130 "…129 Wonderful are Your testimonies; therefore I obey them. 130 The unfolding of Your words gives light; it informs the simple. 131 I open my mouth and pant, longing for Your commandments.…"
The more we seek Christ, read His Word and pray for understanding the more we will know the truth. Many people who attend the colleges made by man are following man not Christ. They are teaching what man tells them to believe and not what Christ tells us.
Psalm 19:7
"The Law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making wise the simple."
Psalm 49:3
"My mouth will impart wisdom, and the meditation of my heart will bring understanding."
Psalm 119:98
"Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for they are always with me."
Psalm 119:104
"I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore I hate every false way."
Proverbs 6:23
"For this commandment is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way to life"
Seek Christ through prayer and His Word first, then there will be understanding.
