Psalm 119 :1-33

1  Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.

5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.

9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.

13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.

15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.

18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.

21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.

23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.

25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

26 I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.

27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.

31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.

32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

Narcissists Ask a Lot of Questions

Narcissists will ask a lot of questions about your family and activities in order to be able to judge you and pass on information to others in the form of half truths. Half truths feel alright with the narcissist because as long as they have told some of the truth they feel justified in adding their guesses and opinions about whatever you told them.

Proverbs 19:9
"A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish."

Proverbs 14:5
"A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness breathes out lies."

Proverbs 26:23-28
"Like the glaze covering an earthen vessel are fervent lips with an evil heart. Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart; when he speaks graciously, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred be covered with deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and a stone will come back on him who starts it rolling. ..."

Our response to the abuse of the narcissist is addressed in Romans 12:19 and 2 Timothy 3:5

Romans 12:19
"Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

2 Timothy 3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!

The Carnage of the Last Days

I am convinced from what I have seen, that there is a connection between the school shootings we are seeing and ADHD and depression meds.

Some of the people I have known seem more aggressive and less inhibited in their behavior when they are on these meds.

Those who have been on the meds for years, say from age 12 to age 20, seem less mature and more easily angered at the slightest correction or instruction. Part of these mentalities of superiority and entitlement come from the culture of "self esteem" infused into the children from the first day they entered school until they day they graduate from high school. It has been compounded by the church gatherings buying into this lie and operating along the same vein as the schools.

It is possible our culture has created many of it's own problems by attempting to control the children's behavior with meds rather than teaching self control through discipline and consequences.

Just recently I heard of a teenager who stabbed his grandmother in the neck with a knife. This is not normal anger of any human being, it is conscienceless rage, unjustified and irrational. God said there would be "loss of natural affection."

No one can tell me there hasn't been a change in the behavior and attitudes of the young people in the past 40 years, we never heard of any young person stabbing their grandparent or beating up parents when we were young. If it ever happened it was so rare that we never heard about it.

There was a shooting in Florida today many injured and some killed. Then in Everett Washington, also today a grandmother thwarted a plan on the part of her grandson to carry out a school shooting. Thank the Lord for that grandmother who was willing to turn her grandson in to save the lives of others.

My next question is, "why are so many grandchildren being raised by grandparents? Perhaps divorce and remarriage or two working parents are culprits in this mess?

When mothers were home, there were two parents in the home with Dad coming home from work in a few hours, we didn't see this monstrous deluge of violence.

The break down of the family, the absence of discipline in the home and the culture as a whole propagating the lie of building "self esteem", has brought us to this devastation.

How is all that self worship working out for us? It has destroyed our peace, our comfort, our hopes and our safety. Sadly, there is no getting back to what we have eliminated from our culture. The young people are lost in themselves without empathy or responsibility in their lives. Worship of self never has room for another human being's needs or desires.

So what is the answer to this mess we find ourselves in? Simple, only one thing will change individual's hearts and that is Jesus Christ. The culture will not be saved, narcissists never admit their sin or their attitudes, but those who are not full blown yet, can be reached. Those are the ones who will find Christ, their hearts will be changed and they will become a new creation. However, most will not listen, most will not want Christ and will even work to destroy those who say they need Him. We are going to see an increasingly more violent and heartless progression on the part of young people than ever before. If you think it is bad now, be sure to study the conditions that exist in the tribulation that is yet to come. Believers will not be here for that, but those who will not trust Christ will experience the carnage and hopelessness of that time.

2 Timothy 3
3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,
7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.
9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly was also.
10 Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance,
11 persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me!
12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
13 But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14 You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."

God says in these verses that we need to know this is happening:

1. we are to remove ourselves from those who act like this,
2. we are to name those who walk disobediently,
3. the women who are like this will be easily manipulated by false doctrine,
4. they will always be seeking to learn but what they are learning is not truth even defending the lies.
5. These people will never grow past infancy, the are immature.
6. We are not to keep company with those who claim to be Christian and act this very despicable way.
7. we are to obtain our truth from the Scripture and stick to it no matter what anyone else is doing.

Trust Christ today before it is too late, the time is short. If you don't believe me, then ask God, if you want to know He will tell you.

Gaining Wisdom Involved Obedience

Wisdom involves obedience, the disobedient shows mans lack of wisdom.

How silly is it to read and know the word of God while picking and choosing which commands or principles to obey!

There are so many who think obedience to the commands and principles of Christ are nothing more than ideas from which to choose.

John 14:15
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments."

Acts 5:29
"But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men."

1 Peter 1:14
"As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance,"

1 John 5:3
"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome."
