Is God in Control or Not?

So is God still in control of all that is happening? Let's let Him speak to this matter.
Amos 3:6-7 "6If a ram’s horn sounds in a city, do the people not tremble? If calamity comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it? 7Surely the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.…"
God brings calamity on people, countries and the world, we know this because of Sodom, Noah's day and many more disasters that have come upon the world since those times.
Romans 13:1-4
"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer."
If God is in control and He is, then complaining about what is going on is to speak against God's purposes and His perfect Will.

How Do We Interpret Events

We are more likely to interpret events according to our own hopes and desires. This is why we need to be evaluating everything according to the facts rather than feelings.
Those who want to believe in conspiracy theories will search out websites and articles that say what they want to believe, enjoying the drama of those news articles.
If one person dislikes another person, the one who dislikes will take everything their target person does as a personal attack or action that is against them.
A jealous person will interpret the actions of their target as done deliberately to offend them. If a jealous person sees their friend buying a new car they will interpret the purchase of the new car as if the target did it on purpose to make them jealous. Or they will interpret the target as haughty because the jealous one would be haughty if they were getting a new car.
If someone is a person who lies to embellish their accomplishments they will interpret the statements of others as lying embellishments. Why? Because often people believe others do the same things they do.
A liar believes others lie to them. A thief believes others want to steal from them. A jealous person believes others are jealous of them. Gossips believe their target gossips about them. And on it goes about everything.
A self-absorbed individual cannot assess any matter according to the facts, but will almost always assess things according to their own feelings. This is why paying attention to feelings is ruinous to relationships.
The best relationships are those that evaluate the events according to the facts without regard to their feelings. Feelings lie to us all the time.
Someone might "feel" hurt because their friend had an opportunity to travel to a fun place when the friend does not invite them. Rather than engaging in love and enjoyment with the friend, they do something snarky to diminish the friend's experience.
When we have love we are able to ignore our feelings to do what is right. As we grow in holiness we no longer have those jealous feelings, they have been crucified with Christ and do not dominate our thinking.
What does love look like?
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
"4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant
5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
When we love someone we want the best for them, we engage with them in their tears, their hurts and their blessings and joys.
Romans 12:15-18
"15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.[a] Never be wise in your own sight.
17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.
18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all."

FALSE TEACHERS Are GOD'S JUDGEMENT On The CHURCH!!! | Joel Osteen, Joyce...

Great impressions!!!! The "self-esteem" teaching feeds right into this "you can be like god" mentality. Satan used this ploy in the garden with Eve. She fell right into it and it separated her from God. And, she influenced her husband to follow her. Yikes!!!! Nothing is new under the sun!

What God Said and What He Did Not Say

God said "when you see these things happening, look up, for your redemption draws near."
He didn't say look around and see how much muck you can rake up to make yourself fearful and angry.
I want no more news about "what they are doing", I am looking up, sharing the good news of the gospel and encouraging the saints to keep focused on Christ.

What is Love?

1 John 4:6-8 "6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. That is how we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception. 7 Beloved, let us love one another because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.…"
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
"4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant.
5 It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered,
6 it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
7 it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with."

Luke 21:27-28
"27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

Leave the World Behind to Follow Christ

I have come to the place where I no longer pray for our government. I pray for individuals, for believers to become stronger and for unbelievers to see their need for Christ.
The people of this nation, even those who attend church gatherings are apostate and narcissistic, we are beyond the place of no return.
Jeremiah 11:14 "14 As for you, do not pray for these people. Do not raise up a cry or a prayer on their behalf, for I will not be listening when they call out to Me in their time of disaster. 15 What right has My beloved in My house, having carried out so many evil schemes?"
I have become more frustrated with those who say they are Christians than I am with the world. I expect the world to be ungodly, but the church has become arrogant and self-willed, leaning on government and their own devices rather than Christ.
These gatherings are biting and devouring one another over foolish and superficial things. Even refusing to accept God's will in His judgment over this country.
God shuts down everything using a virus and wicked people and the Christians' response is to complain instead of repent from their self will. Their desire to live free and prosper is greater than their desire for holiness.
They claim many things that are not true but merely their own desires without regard to what God is doing.
God is removing our pleasures, our idols in the form of those pleasures, and all hope of recovery because we have placed our trust in leaders instead of Christ.
In order for believers to get their heads back where they should be, they must accept God's discipline and turn to prayer and study of His Word for their comfort. But they do not, they continue to trust in their own ability to get the leaders they want.
They will not be able to get their favored wicked leaders because we are under judgment and discipline. We must accept God's will in this and turn to Him for His instructions.
Psalm 146:3-7
"3 Do not trust in noblemen,
In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.
4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth;
On that very day his plans perish.
5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,
6 Who made heaven and earth,
The sea and everything that is in them;
Who keeps faith forever;
7 Who executes justice for the oppressed;
Who gives food to the hungry.
The Lord frees the prisoners."
If you really believe Christ is returning for His church soon then you will have no interest in the things of this world. Our mission as believers is to speak the words of Christ, follow them and continue with inner peace and joy no matter what is going on around us.
Hallelujah that we do not have to live in fear as the pagans do.
