Hirelings in the Churches

Church attendees need to forget about having a pastor and allow all the men in the group to teach and preach. That way the "pastor" does not become the idol of those who will not read their Bibles. If every believer read their own Bible and sought the Holy Spirit they would all have something to share in the gathering.

There is no model in the Bible of a man from a distant city "candidating" for a position in the local church. All those who are elders are taken from within the local gathering, everyone will know their life. There will be a proven testimony of godliness for the ones who are chosen as elders and those who choose them will be led by the Holy Spirit, they are not chosen on the basis of their "education."

1 Corinthians 14:28-30 "29Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. 30And if a revelation comes to someone who is seated, the first speaker should hold his peace.…"

1 Corinthians 14:26 "26 What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be done to build up the church. "

Romans 12:6-8 "6 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; 7 if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; 8 or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness."

The one-man pastor system was not given by God. According to the scriptures, there should be several men who are called elders who preach and teach in the church gathering. The one-man pastor system came out of Catholicism and has led to pew sitters who do and say nothing during the gathering. The pew people do not participate and believe without question their paid pastor. God calls them hirelings!

John 10:12-13
"He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep."

Most pastors today rely on their seminary training to carry them without depending on the Holy Spirit. Most seminaries today have serious errors in their teachings, even some have unsaved profs teaching the students.

The hirelings are more interested in keeping their job and being popular than they are in bringing truth to the people. Even if the hireling is not thinking consciously these things they are motivated by them.

Most hirelings set themselves up as "experts" as though no one has the right to question or rebuke them. They resist correction and even drive out those who are godly who attempt to bring everything back to scripture.

Remarriage After Divorce is not a Marriage

Remarriage after Divorce is not a marriage, it is adultery and remains adultery until the couple stops living together.

In the matter of a pastor who divorced his wife to marry a secretary! If this pastor remained pastor of the church after doing this that will tell us the apostasy of the people who still attend there.

That second marriage on the part of the pastor is not a marriage it is adultery. When God makes two people one in marriage it cannot be severed by anyone, not even a judge. The marriage of the second person is not marriage and remains adultery until the man leaves the second woman.

My guess is that many people remained in that church even after he began committing adultery in a new marriage? In our day church members even attend the wedding of this adulterous affair.

1 Corinthians 7:10-11 "10 But to the married I give instructions, not I, but the Lord, that the wife should not leave her husband 11 (but if she does leave, she must remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband should not [b]divorce his wife."

The reason the divorced person must remain single is that in God's eyes she/he is still married to the first husband.

Chaotic and Unbiblical Tongues

Tongues were for bringing the gospel to unbelievers who did not speak the language of the speaker.

Tongues were never for a believer to speak to other believers.

1 Corinthians 14:21-23 "…21It is written in the Law: “By strange tongues and foreign lips I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to Me, says the Lord.” 22Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers. 23So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who are uninstructed or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds?…"

Tongues were not chaotic in the church speaking to unbelievers and never all at once with everyone babbling at the same time.

1 Corinthians 14:1
Earnestly pursue love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.

1 Corinthians 14:27
If anyone speaks in a tongue, two, or at most three, should speak in turn, and someone must interpret.

1 Corinthians 14:29
Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said.

Tongues are not needed now because we have the Scriptures! New revelation is forbidden by God, anything new that is not in the Bible is adding to scripture and condemned by God.

Heb 1:1-2
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"

John 16:13-15
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.

Matthew 6:5-7 "5 And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. 6 But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard.…"

The chaotic "tongues" in churches today comes from the model of pagan worship. It is a violation of God's Word and glorifies the person doing it rather than Christ.

Think about it!
