Changed from the Corruptible to the Incorruptible

1 Corinthians 3:15 " If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."

People do sin after they are changed into a new creation. Their spirit has been changed but they are trapped in a sinful body.

That body will go away to be replaced by a new body for the spirit that is a new creation.

When we die and go to heaven, we go as the born again new creation of the spirit, but we leave behind the corrupted body. Later when Christ rises the dead bodies, they will be changed and no longer corrupted.

Philippians 3:20-21 "20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; 21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself."

Everyone who is born again will endure to the end.

Ephesians 1:13-14 "

13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory."

1 John 2:19 " They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us."

The evidence that someone was never born again is that they did not endure to the end.

Matthew 7:21-23 "
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many[a]miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’"

Correction and Rebuke Are Necessary

Next time someone tells you we should not correct or rebuke others, it might be good to remind them of God's Word.

Proverbs 6:23
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:"

Proverbs 3:12 "
12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth."

Proverbs 23:13 "
13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die."

Proverbs 29:17 "
17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul."

Titus 1:13 "
13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith."

Titus 2:15 "
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee."

1 Timothy 5:20 "
20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear."

Revelation 3:19 "
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."

Luke 17:3 "
3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him."

1 John 4:1-6

1 John 4:1-6

4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;

3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.

4 You are from God,little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

5 They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them.

6 We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Those Who Love Christ

1 John 2:15-24

15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.

19 They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.

20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know.

21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth.

22 Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.

23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.

24 As for you, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father."

If We Say We Have Not Sinned We Call God A Liar

1 John 1:4-10

4 These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.

5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;

7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us."

We Can Count On His Promises

I hang onto the promises that Christ will do in me what is needed, even when I don't realize He is working.

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Hebrews 12:6 "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth."

John 14:18 ""I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you."

John 14:16-31
"16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;
17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
19 After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.
20 In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
21 He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
22 Judas (not Iscariot) *said to Him, “Lord, what then has happened that You are going to disclose Yourself to us and not to the world?”
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.
24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
25 “These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you.
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
28 You heard that I said to you, ‘I go away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.
30 I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me; 31 but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here."
