The Snakes and the Scorpions are in the Spiritual Battle Against Believers

Luke 10:18-20
"18 And He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like lightning. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to walk on snakes and scorpions, and authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. 20 Nevertheless, do not [a]rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”

The snake and the scorpions are not the creatures that crawl along the ground, they are the devil and his demons.

God gave born-again believers power over the devils and his angels who are referred to as the scorpions and snakes. Many people in this world never see snakes in the grass or scorpions, but they encounter devils every day even if they never see them. Nor do we wear physical armor to protect ourselves from these creatures. We battle against spiritual entities continually our armor is Christ.

Ephesians 6:11-13 "…11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.…"

Following Christ Alone!!!

We are also walking "Law", Jesus Christ is the Law Giver, He lives in us and His principles are the very essence of Who He is, ignoring them is to ignore Him.
When Christ Himself lives in us why would we want to seek anyone else but Him about anything. He may send us to someone with a skill or an answer, but we follow no one else.
1 Peter 2:21
"For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps."
Matthew 16:24
"Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."
John 8:12
"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 10:27
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."
I see no instruction in God's Word to follow men!!!! Paul said; "follow me as I follow Christ", meaning follow Christ not Paul.
1 John 2:3-4
"And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,"
Nowhere in God's Word does He say to follow anyone but Christ. If anyone tells you that you should follow them, rebuke the devil who is using their mouth to manipulate and intimidate you.
When we are close to Christ and follow HIs voice we will not feel any need to follow groups, crowds or individuals.
1 Peter 1:14-16
"As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

The Age of Apostasy is Here

Most people attending church gatherings have been lied to in these last days of apostasy. People have no idea how many things they believe that are not Biblical and even against the Word of God while thinking they are special for following these false doctrines of men.
2 Timothy 4:3
"3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"

Amen, Amen!!!! We become so close to the greatest Friend we could ever have that the loss of anyone else pales in comparison. Hallelujah!!!! We wish that our loved ones would go with us but if they don't we remain joyful and fully content.

Narcissists Never Learn While Becoming Cranky in their Old Age

Narcissists never learn, they don't change and grow because they have been stubborn all their lives. They are full of intense pride that has dominated them all their lives and they live in fear of letting go of that pride.
They cannot become born again because to trust in Christ they would have to admit their sinful nature and desire to be changed by Christ and they will never defer to anyone. They have been the pretenders in the church who seem to drift away from spirituality as they lose interest in pretending to be something they are not.
Narcissists become more cranky in their old age because they have depended all their lives on their appearance, their agility and ability to play at adventures but as they age they can no longer do these things. Those who used to find them fascinating are moving away from them, they are often left alone without genuine companions.
Humble older people who have aged gracefully can admit their frailties and even laugh about them. But the narcissist must pretend they are still strong and still healthy and still good-looking in their appearance. They never drop the belief that they are what they were when they are young, but in their heart of hearts they know they are not and are angry about it.
It is also the reason narcissists cannot be around old people or sick people, it reminds them of their own frailties, they are the most uncomfortable with anyone who has illness and expresses their plight.
They become jealous of those who are still young, they have burned through all the relationships in their age group so they surround themselves with younger people to make themselves feel young.
I have seen this many times in my life, the continued downward spiral into an angry spirit as the narcissists are weakening in every aspect of their existence, but will not admit it to anyone.
It is important that we never allow the devil to delude us into believing remaining youthful is the most important thing in our life. When we age gracefully we accept our condition and learn to lean into God's will for us.
Aging for the born-again believer, even with all its difficulties, maintain our joy because for us when this life is over we will be with Christ and in paradise with our brothers and sisters in Christ. This life is merely a training ground for us and our death is our salvation.
1 Corinthians 15:55-58
“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
Death is a blessing for born-again believers and remaining youthful seems more like a curse than a blessing. Those who have walked with Christ know that there is nothing back there in our youth that we would want, we have come too far in our Spiritual and emotional growth that we could never go back to that old self.
