Believers are Strengthened by Adversity

Remember when Christ spoke to Satan while looking at Peter, saying "get thee behind me Satan"?
I am convinced without any doubt that all that the devil and his minions are sitting on the shoulders of many people causing division, lying stories and contempt for believers, especially among family members.

If the devil can weaken the family he can weaken the individual and ultimately the nation.

Thankfully the believer who walks with Christ according to His Word, cannot be weakened and while be strengthened by the exercise of having to stand alone no matter what.

James 1:2-18
"2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,
3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;
8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
9 Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation,
10 and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away.
11 For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.
12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures."

Healthy Shame Over Sin is Absent

One of the elements prominent in our culture today!

Jeremiah 6:15 ""Were they ashamed because of the abomination they have done? They were not even ashamed at all; They did not even know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; At the time that I punish them, They shall be cast down," says the LORD."

Christ is the Only Way to Heaven

Recently there has been an increase in requests from Muslims to be my friends. I have never gotten these requests before, now all of a sudden they are asking me.

I am blocking them after giving them the salvation message. It is possible that Christians on the internet are now being targeted for identification.

The bombings in Paris, I am quite sure, has given Islam all over the world a sense of empowerment. In their mind it is irrelevant that some of the terrorists have been killed, they have gone to "paradise" they count themselves successful because so many people were killed and the city is in lockdown while the killers went on to their "reward."

1 Timothy 1:5-11
"5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
6 For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion,
7 wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.
8 But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully,
9 realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers
10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching,
11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted."

The terrorists method of operation is creating fear in the hearts of their victims. The fear is just as important as the carnage.

The Lord Jesus Christ presents salvation through His love for those who would choose to follow Him. He died for us, that we might live. Christ gave His all because of His great love, salvation through Christ is easy, all one has to do is admit their sinfulness before God and He will change them into a new creation.

In the Islamic religion their god requires their life and they are only assured of salvation if they blow themselves up in an act of terrorism, hating and murdering others to get it.
Notice that Islam is the exact opposite of a relationship with Christ. Christ died for us, the Islamic god requires his subjects to die for him.

Christ teaches love, that His children share the gospel through words and acts of kindness, to those who have not yet trusted Him. Islam encourages conversion by the sword, the only way to keep from being murdered is to convert to Islam.

We know that Islam is the antithesis of Christianity, the exact opposite. The devil rules and torments the followers of Islam, they have no joy, no peace and no true love in their existence. There is no concept of forgiveness among themselves and never toward their enemies, everyone who will not accept their religion.

When we see the continual heartbreak that this system brings, we know that it cannot be of the True God.

1 John 4:8 "The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love."

Galatians 5:22-23 "22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

Romans 14:16-17 "16 So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."
