Withholding Blessing Because of Sin

I am finding myself withholding congratulations from couples on Facebook whom I do not know. Often they say they are on their second marriages, but do not explain that their first spouses have died.

I cannot congratulate a couple if there is any possibility that they are entering into an adulterous marriage. I feel sad sometimes that I end up raining on everyone's parade. The people doing the congratulating are not questioning anything about the new marriage, just a happy congrats.

Because marriage is held in such low regard these days by Christians there is a sense that I cannot join in their happiness when there is a possibility of the new marriage being an adulterous one.

Luke 16:17-18 "17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law. 18 Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery."
Adulterous marriages usually come with a host of excuses as to why they were justified in divorcing their first spouses. God does not give any reason to get out of a marriage, not even for adultery.

The passages in Matthew that is always used to justify divorce and allow for remarriage has nothing to do with the marriage relationship. The word in the KJV of the bible is translated "fornication." It is translated that way because it has to do with the law of the Jews that required a certificate of divorcement for the betrothal time that we call engagement.
The betrothal was nearly as binding as marriage in the Jewish law except if one of the parties was unfaithful. The never did pertain to marriage.

Everyone knew this principle for the past 1900 years until the seminaries became liberal teaching the false doctrine of divorce for adultery, that is unfaithfulness within marriage, began being taught.

When Christ makes two people into one at the ceremony of the promises they are no longer two but one, that is a spiritual oneness that cannot be broken by a law of the land that liberally allows divorce pretending to dissolve the marriage.

No matter what that certificate of divorce signed by the judge says, it does not dissolve the union that God glued together. A sort of spiritual super glue only God can undo through the death of a spouse.

Satan has managed to twist the minds of many in the liberal churches to believe they can claim anything they like and God will place His stamp of approval on it. There are serious consequences for disobeying God, some are lifelong.

There is an old Amish saying; "when two divorced people get married there are four people in the bed."

2 Timothy 4:2-4 "…2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears, they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…"

In this 2 Timothy 4 passage, we see that we are living in those times when the Bible is merely a book of good suggestions rather than the very words of God. Many people completely disregard the passages they do not like to embrace what they do like. Even words they take away from and add to the words of God to justify sin.

Those of us who speak the truth from God's word as He has written it will be called names, accused of lacking knowledge, told we are mean spirited and even told we refused to discuss things when we tried hard to bring the scriptures to bear but it was rejected.
I have had people accuse me of the very things they were doing but I was not. This is a favored tactic of the devil. The devil wants us to defend ourselves and fight back bitterly to have our say.

The best thing for the believer to do when they are accused of things and our character is maligned is to realize it is the devil in these people using their mouths to cause anger in us.
God says "be angry and sin not." When we see the tactic being employed to outrage us we can ignore it knowing who is behind it and make an effort to avoid such a person.

Romans 16:17-18 "17 Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.…"

There will even be times when these rebellious ones will attempt to gain others on their side by their gossip and through half truth, even out and out lies. We must also avoid anyone who listens to the gossip.

Remember we do not need to run after trouble makers. Those are the ones who want to fight to win over us, they want us to be like them and refuse to allow us our views.
Scripture is not important to these problem people, only getting their way and surrounding themselves with those who validate their false religion of compromise.

Matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

Galatians 1:8
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a divine curse!

Galatians 1:9
As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you embraced, let him be under a divine curse!

Someone might say, "marriage is not about doctrine", the answer is sure, marriage is a picture of Chrsit and His relationships with His church. The union of Christ and His children cannot be severed. God disciplines His children but He does not remove the relationship.

Hebrews 12:5-7 "…5 And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. 6 For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” 7 Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?…'

God also tells us that those who belong to Him obey Him. When someone refuses to obey the Bible, adding what they wish and crossing out what they don't like they are in rebellion against God.

Even worse these people are deliberately antagonizing God''s children to convince them to disobey God.

Galatians 4:16-17 "…16Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? 17Those people are zealous for you, but not in a good way. Instead, they want to isolate you from us, so that you may be zealous for them. "

I probably can't count the number of times I have encountered those who thought their anger at me would cause me to follow their ungodly thinking. These people want us to feel intimidated, embarrassed and ashamed for believing God and His Word.

They do not understand that God's Word is more than a saying we call the book we read. God's word is the very essence of Who Christ is, His Word is above all other writings a perfect truth.

All the disobedience I see among pretenders is based on their feelings and circumstances, not on God's Word. They never seek God in prayer to learn the truth, they simply defend their ignorance.

Those who say they are Christians but do not have the Holy Spirit will interpret things the way they wish to see them and not by the power of the Holy Spirit. Keep this in mind when you encounter these people, do not take them seriously, pray for their salvation, and keep moving forward in truth and holiness. There is nothing to gain by remaining with argumentative people who care only about winning without truth.

Hallelujah!

Let Go and Let God!!!!

Are You Sensitive to the Holy Spirit or Hardened to His Truth?

When we become born again we are sensitive to what offends God. There is a burning desire to do what is right. When we do something not right we feel terrible about it and want to confess to being cleansed.

If someone continues harming others without a conscience they cannot possibly be born again. The pretenders harm people and calls what they did justified with all their excuses.

Those who love Jesus Christ hate harming others even in the smallest ways.

Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the great and foremost commandment.
39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

BEWARE of FALSE Christian BRETHREN 8 Signs Too Spot Them!!!

Christ is the Only One Who can Change a Person

Saying they are a Christian does not make someone born again.

Attending a gathering of Christians does not make someone born again.

Doing good deeds does not make someone born again.

Only believing on the Lord Jesus Christ with the desire to be changed by Him into a new creation will cause Christ to act to save you.

Acts 16:30 "…30 Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved,"

When you believe in Christ He then sends the Holy Spirit to live in you, you become a completely different person, not by your own effort but by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 2:10 "10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

We have only to ask God for His wisdom to acquire it.

James 1:4-6 "…4 Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.…"

When you ask for wisdom you will find yourself looking at everything differently from before. Things you thought were good will be exposed as evil. The way you think is changed completely. If there is no change in you except for a few activities you decided to stop, then you were probably not changed by God and do not have salvation. God changes our desires, our pleasures, our goals are all different when He changes us. WE are completely made new by Him.

Ephesians 4:17-24 "17 So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,
18 being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;
19 and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. 20 But you did not learn Christ in this way,
21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,
22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit,
23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth."

2 Corinthians 5:16-18 "…16 So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:…"

Be Born Again, This Time for Real!

We are in the Laodicean age in which the churches are dead and worldly. Few people compared to the population of the world will be born again. The 2 Timothy 3 description of the end days is describing these churches, they "have a form of religion," but are not born again.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 "3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these."

This is a description of the apostate church in the end times. They are resistant to correction from the Word, even defending their sinful ways as though they have a right to be whatever they want and still gain heaven.

God made it clear that no one will gain heaven by their own good deeds. They will not see heaven until they have confessed their sinfulness and believed in Christ for their salvation.

John 14:6
"6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

Christ paid the price for our sin but we have to confess we need Him to save us and cleanse us. Those who will not admit their sinfulness and place their faith in Christ will not see heaven. There will be many who think just saying His name and pretending to be a Christian will get them saved, it will not.

Matthew 7:21-23"21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’"

What a frightening thing to be expecting to get into heaven only to be told by Christ, "I never knew you" and then being cast into hell.

Those who trust in Christ will worship Him only! They will not place any human being above Christ or any worldly ideas more important than Him.

Matthew 4:10
"Away from me, Satan!" Jesus declared. "For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.'"

Luke 13:27
"And he will answer, 'I tell you, I do not know where you are from. Depart from me, all you evildoers.'"

I think that Matthew 7:21-23 is the most frightening verse in the Bible. God will send to hell all those who think they are saved when they approach the gates of heaven who trusted in themselves. They approach believing they are going to heaven only to be turned away.
If you are depending on your own goodness and have disregarded Christ through mocking His word and refusing to seek Him, you will not be saved from hell.

A born again believer loves God's Word, listens to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and obeys Him.

John 10:26-28 "…26 But because you are not My sheep, you refuse to believe. 27 My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand.…"

If you are walking in a worldly Christianity, full of pride thinking you are going to heaven because you like yourself so much, beware, you are probably not born again and will hear those terrible words, "depart from me."

If you want to be born again you must confess your sinfulness, ask the Lord to change you into a new creation while believing in Him.

He will change anyone who wants to be changed. He will not change anyone who does not want to be changed into a new creation. God never forces anyone, we have a choice. All those who go to hell have chosen it over Christ. They bear the responsibility for where they ended up.

Choose Christ today, depend on Him to make you what you should be, let Him be the Lord in your life.

Ephesians 2:10 "10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Romans 3:10 "10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one. 11 There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.…"

It is only when we are changed by Christ after hearing the gospel and choosing to believe that we can understand.

Ephesians 1:13-14
13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory."

God will not ignore anyone who wants to belong to Christ! When they believe in Him He will save them, send the Holy Spirit to live in them as a promise of their salvation and He will clean them up as a lifelong process.

Choose Christ today, He is coming back for His Church very soon, don't be left behind.
