Don't Bother Arguing with Fools

Sharing from the post of a Facebook friend!

DON'T ARGUE WITH DONKEYS
The donkey said to the tiger, "The grass is blue."

The tiger replied, "No, the grass is green."

The discussion heated up, and the two decided to submit the matter to arbitration. They went before the lion, the King of the Jungle.

Before reaching the forest clearing where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey began to shout, "Your Highness, is it true that the grass is blue?"

The lion replied, "True, the grass is blue."

The donkey hurried and continued, "The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts and annoys me. Please punish him."

The king then declared, "The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence."
The donkey jumped cheerfully and went on his way, content and repeating, "The grass is blue."

The tiger accepted his punishment but asked the lion, "Your Majesty, why have you punished me? After all, the grass is green."

The lion replied, "In fact, the grass is green."

The tiger asked, "So why are you punishing me?"

The lion replied, "That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is not possible for a brave and intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey and then come and bother me with that question."

The worst waste of time is arguing with fools and fanatics who do not care about truth or reality but only the victory of their beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on arguments that don't make sense. There are people who, no matter how much evidence we present, are incapable of understanding, and others are blinded by ego, hatred, and resentment. All they want is to be right, even if they are not.

When ignorance screams, intelligence is silent. Your peace and quiet are worth more.

Spiritual and Emotional Healing is Far Greater than Physical Healing

It is easy to judge others who do bigger sins than ourselves that we do not do, but hard to evaluate our own sinful attitudes exposing in ourselves all the ways we dishonor God.
I get it.......Most Christians are against abortion and perverted lifestyles but excuse divorce and remarriage, condone shacking up, justify gossiping against someone with guesses and without facts and many other things they think are acceptable because they do them.
Judging others for things we don't do but never judging ourselves is arrogance at its worst.
We are to judge righteously, which means we are not to ever judge something because of jealousy or self-righteousness appearing better because we desire to be superior.
Any judgment we make is to be because of what God says in His Word and with great love in our hearts to help someone, never to condemn them.
The spiritual and emotional wounds are far more important than any physical wounds. A Spirit of love and guidance surpasses the healing of a physical wound, it carries us into Spiritual growth that brings hope and joy and restores relationships.
Jeremiah 17:14
"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise"
Jeremiah 30:17
"For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord"

God is Angry with the Wicked Every Day

Have you ever been in the room with an arrogant narcissist who has targeted you?
The problem is when we are ourselves with innocent and normal responses to things and the narcissist will rage over nothing important except that we disagreed with them, to make the rest of the people in the room think we did something wrong because they raged.
Often the people in the room don't seem to be able to evaluate what actually happened, all they see is the rage of the narcissist. Because the narcissist raged we must have done something wrong, in the minds of the onlookers.
Have you ever been in conversation with someone who is expressing their opinion, but when you express yours they become unhinged as though you did something wrong?
Our world is growing in this narcissism because for two generations now children have been raised to believe they are special and everything they say and do should be praised.
2 Timothy 3 describes the mentality of the end times generation. We used to call it the "ME" generation, but it is far worse than just selfishness, it has morphed into raging insanity when anyone disagrees with them or says no to them.
We live in a world declining seriously in manners, kindness and love. It makes sense that in a world full of self-exalted people the culture would choose leaders just like themselves.
God gives us the leaders the country deserves! Even the "good guy" has serious arrogance flaws but because the culture is arrogant and lacking in discernment they will not see those flaws.
Zechariah 11:4-17
"4 This is what the Lord my God says: “Pasture the flock doomed to slaughter.
5 Those who buy them slaughter them and go unpunished, and each of those who sell them says, ‘Blessed be the Lord, for I have become rich!’ And their own shepherds have no compassion for them.
6 For I will no longer have compassion for the inhabitants of the land,” declares the Lord; “but behold, I will let the people fall, each into another’s power and into the power of his king; and they will crush the land, and I will not rescue them from their power.”
This was not written to us but it was written for us, to show us how God deals with rebellious nations and a rebellious people who spurn His truth while claiming to be of Him.
God is not fooled by our arrogant self-righteous words, he is looking at the heart and the covert sneaky way people twist His truth to make themselves sound righteous when just the opposite is true.
Our eyes have been blinded by the worship of freedom and fleshly desires. Ask yourself, "Why would God treat America any differently than He did those ancient nations?" He does not change and is angry with the wicked every day.
Psalm 7:11 "God is a just judge, And God is angry with the wicked every day."

Walk with the Wise to Become Wise

Narcissists love to argue to win, they are never invested in discussion to come to an agreement, it's always based on winning over someone else. Because these people are "know it alls" they believe if they think it, it is right and we are stupid.
This is why it is impossible to develop a quality relationship with someone who is hell-bent on coming out on top rather than seeing the viewpoints of their friend. Since there is no empathy or love in the narcissist they cannot see anyone else's viewpoint about anything. They work hard to force others to think like them and if they cannot convince someone to be like them they will label them as all bad and all foolish.
I say hell-bent because the devil is at the core of all these arguments usually over silly things. These people cannot learn and grow, remaining spiritual and emotional infants because of their refusal to admit they don't know everything.
Pride is at the chore root of their character, they cannot stand that anyone would believe they are not perfect without flaws. They also boast a lot about themselves and their own families to convince others of their superiority.
I have encountered narcissists who "invite you to the party so you can see them ignoring you." These people love to show off and exclude others, making their targets believe that they are inferior to them and unworthy of being included.
Gossip is a big part of the narcissist's thinking to cause others to think negatively about those who do not buy into the narrative of the narcissist. Narcissists hate worse than anything a person who thinks for themselves and does not need others to validate them.
Narcissists are empty inside when they are not surrounded by their flying monkeys who elevate them. Without people around them, there is no character at all, just an empty shell full of loneliness and despair.
Sadly though, if the narcissists would become born gain they would find out that believers enjoy the company of other lovely believers but are not desperate to have people around them all the time. We are comfortable and joyful when all we have is Christ.
We are living in a world full of narcissists more than ever now as we are moving toward the end times mentalities described in 2 Timothy 3. It doesn't take much understanding to see what is happening and how rapidly it is moving forward in nasty selfish character that demeans and mocks anyone who is not like them.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
Difficult Times Will Come
"3 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these."
Notice these people "have a form of religion" that they call Christianity but lack all the fruit of the Spirit.
Matthew 7:15-20
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them."
What is the fruit?!!!! Here is what God says:
Galatians s5:22-23 "22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.…"
The fruit of the Spirit of God Who lives in every born-again believer are the character qualities of Christ that can be discerned by every other born-again believer.
Many unsaved and unrighteous people can do good works to be loved by the community, this is not salvation and it is not the fruit of the Spirit of God. Anyone can pretend to be good for a time and fool people, but eventually, their bad fruit will emerge when things don't go their way or when they are not getting the accolades they were expecting.
Ecclesiastes 7:8
"The end of a matter is better than the beginning, and a patient spirit is better than a proud one."
May we not allow the narcissists to turn us into them by responding to their nonsense. God has our back, we need not avenge ourselves. Rmemeber narcissists do not listen to their targets expecting them to change because we informed them is an exercise in futility and as God said;
Matthew 7:6 "
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces."
Verse 5 in 2 Timothy 3 tells us to "avoid such people", that is the command, not a suggestion. The reason we are to avoid them is because we could become like them, our friends influence us even if we don't see it.
1 Corinthians 15:33 "
Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
Proverbs 13:`19-20 "…19 Desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but turning from evil is detestable to fools. 20 He who walks with the wise will become wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed. "
Narcissists are led by the devil and want us to become just like them through continual taunting and poking at us.
Proverbs 13:19
"Desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but turning from evil is detestable to fools."
Fools hate that we walk with Christ and that He is good! They want us to dishonor Him through our ungodly responses to them. We must learn to walk alone if our only companions would be those who love their arrogance and self-righteousness.
Proverbs 2:20 "20 So you will follow in the ways of the good, and keep to the paths of the righteous."
Hebrews 6:12
"Then you will not be sluggish, but will imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised."
Proverbs 4:18
"The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining brighter and brighter until midday."
Proverbs 13:20
"He who walks with the wise will become wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed."
If you want to walk with Christ stay away from those who hate Him and hate you.

No One is Superior to Anyone Else

I know many "Christians" who act worse than people I know who are unsaved. They seem to think their "cultural Christianity" makes them superior to others. If we think we are superior then we still have pride., the very thing that caused the devil to get thrown out of heaven.
Those who are harsh with people because they believe they have done very well for themselves have not trusted in Christ but in their own idea of themselves.
When we know what Christ saved us out of and that we couldn't be good enough on our own we do not sport pride but we are bold and determined to help others with the truth.
We cannot walk with Christ in humility if we have a high opinion of ourselves and we cannot help those who think highly of themselves.
It is only in knowing we had nothing to offer God that we can submit to Christ. Submitting to Christ means we will take all that He wrote in His Word the Bible seriously as they were meant to be and that is as commands. They are not suggestions that we can ignore.
We cannot save ourselves by obeying God's commands, we obey them because He changed us into a new creation and we love Him and all His commands.
If we are not asking God for wisdom with the desire to obey what He tells us then we are pretending, making up our own form of religion to feel good about ourselves.
No one who still has pride about their own goodness will not be saved.
Our faith is not in ourselves but in Christ Who is the only One Who is perfect righteousness.
Acts 20:21
"21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."
Trusting in ourselves will take us to hell, but trusting in Christ, believing Him that we cannot be good enough is the only way He will save us and continue to work in us until He takes us home.
God will not save anyone who uses Him to appear special. He will only save those who know they are incapable of earning their way to heaven and want to be changed by Him into a new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
