What Does Justice, Kindness and Humility Look Like

Micah 6:8
"He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do JUSTICE, to love KINDNESS and to walk HUMBLY with your God."

Only a born again believer can do what God requires in Micah 6!

The world thinks it is justice in housing a murderer for the rest of his life on taxpayer money. God says that a murderer's life is required of him when he takes away the life of someone else.

Genesis 9:6
"Whoever sheds man's blood, By man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made man."

The world thinks that it is kind to encourage a mother to kill her unborn baby to avoid difficulties. However, God says that we are not to commit murder against the innocent.

Exodus 20:13
""You shall not murder (innocent human life)."

The world thinks that humility is not very important, in fact the world loves "self esteem", praise of self and indulgence of ego. God says we are to walk in humility.

Philippians 2:3
"Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;"

The world thinks it is kind to allow homosexuals to marry, but God says it is an abomination against Him and His natural order.

Romans 1:26-27
"26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in [c]their own persons the due penalty of their error."

Everything that the world thinks is kind, just or humble is tainted with faulty human thinking based on cultural mores and emotional bents...the way most people operate in the culture, is the measure of morality, rather than God's principles as demonstrated in Scripture.

Our determination to obey God as stated in Micah 6, must be based entirely on God's version of Justice, kindness and humility. We find His principles in the Word (the Bible) and by the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, through prayer.

May each one who is a believer seek God for the definitions of these principles rather than their culture. May each non-believer seek the Lord for salvation that they might begin to understand God's ways.
