The Devil Didn't Make Them, They Chose!

The devil wanted to be like God and was thrown out of heaven because of his pride.

He was not satisfied with destroying himself he had to work to destroy others too.

He came to Eve to convince her that she could be like God. Appealing to her emotions and her pride he was able to get her to disobey God.

This is the tactic the devil is still using today, only he cloaked it in happy sounding verbiage to fool undiscerning people into believing it was a good thing; the teaching of self esteem. This was the trick of the devil to get people to focus on self and become unteachable.

This is how the narcissist operates. They hate that you are empathetic and kind, so they poke at you over and over again hoping to bring out the worst in you to be able to say; "see how you are."

The devil and the narcissist work in tandem, feeding off of one another's evil to ruin another person to remain elevated in their own eyes.

The devil goes before the throne of God every day accusing the brethren of evil, the evil that the devil is doing but the brethren are not. Yes the brethren are not sinless but they would like to be. The devil accuses the brethren of past forgiven sins to ruin them.

God wants us to surround ourselves with those who understand His principles, His ways, His love. The more we are with good, kind, loving people who love God, the stronger we become.

The narcissist seeks to destroy our resolve and our strength through emotional attacks that bring out in us, those things that we are desiring for the Lord to extinguish.

Romans 1:18-24 "18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. 25 For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen."

No! The devil didn't make them do it or anything else, they chose to listen to the devil and refused to listen to God.

Yes, The World is Growing More Evil

If you have any doubt as to how the children are being raised now, I have a story that will convince you that the times are evil.

A grocery store clerk told me this week that she had to spank her grandson because he was rebelling against her. While in this rebellion he was using the "f" word over and over again to aggravate her.

Think about it, where does a six year old learn that language and what sweet young child who loves his grandmother would deliberately attempt to aggravate her. These are evil times for sure.

When I see the children in the grocery store slapping at their parent, or screaming as loudly as they can to cause the whole store to look at them, I am sickened and appalled.

This is almost becoming normal now, that is parents treating their children as equals in order to keep them quiet. There is a constant stress to bribe the child instead of training it to obey and use self control.

I witnessed a young mother at the airport recently who got down on the floor with her six year old to play a silly game. They were making everyone walking through step around them as the mother seemed to enjoy being the center of attention.

The child was not acting like an adult but the adult was acting like a child. I have no problem with adults playing games with their children, the problem comes when all decorum is thrown out the window in order for the game to attract attention from others.

The child was being trained by example to get in the way of others, caring not one wit about the inconvenience they were causing to someone else.

Adults should be setting the example for the child to learn courtesy and dignity. One can play a quiet game in a chair with the child as they wait with everyone else.

Sadly the parents of today love the praise they think they will get from showing off with the child. These people equate good parenting with play, training is not on the top of the list o qualities for parents anymore.

The day we stop trying to impress others is the day we can get down to the business of the hard work of training a child to become an adult. It starts in infancy.

A child should not be allowed to be rude just because they are a child. If they are ever going to turn into a decent law abiding considerate human being, they must be taught as a small child.

This concept of training a child is nearly gone. There is an erroneous belief that being friends with a child will make them a good person. This is the opposite of what God teaches and what works.

Children don't need another child to play with, they need a parent who will train and teach them kind and loving actions as well as the value of others.

Philippians 2:3-4 "3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."

Where did our culture go wrong? Its quite simple really, the school system indoctrinated the culture that self esteem is the greatest goal of mankind. Now we have nothing but selfishness all around us all the time, as well as most people becoming unteachable They have such a high opinion of themselves that they cannot be told anything contrary to what they want to hear.

2 Timothy 4:2-4 "…2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…"

This mentality of self elevation is growing worse with every new generation. When a child has been raised to be selfish through continual praise and lack of discipline they are unlikely to change.

The good news is that they can change but only if they will confess their sinfulness and become born again by the Holy Spirit of God.

The Dog and the Cat

I knew this must be true because I was raised with cats and dogs and have had them all my life.

Yes, it is true, cats cannot be trained without great effort because they have the mentality of a two year old. They are stubborn and repetitive in their behavior, it is nearly impossible to train a cat. The cat is very independent more attached to places than people.

However, the dog has the mentality of a six year old. They love to be with you, they look at you as though you are their god, desiring to please you. They follow us everywhere all the time, hating to be out of their sight.

So then it is true, when a dog looks up at you he is thinking, "you are my god." When a cat looks up at you he is thinking "I am your god."

So we live in a world of humans who act more like alley cats than mature human beings. At least the dog has the sense to please others to get what they want. The cat attempts to please no one!

I think this relates beautifully to the mentality of the two and six year old adult humans. LOL

The End Times Are Now

Have you ever thought that while we are asking Moses what it was like crossing the Red sea, he might be asking us what the end times were really like.

All the things the apostles wrote about prophetically they never understood, we are living them now.

Speaking Truth Creates Rage in Rebellious Hearts

The more the believer speaks the truth the more they can expect to be rejected. Even more astonishing is that they will be accused of things that are not true but the evil ones want to believe about you.

James 1:2-8
"2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,
8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."

We are seeing monstrous instability in the modern church. Most Christians don't know what they should believe, but whats worse than that is that they don't want to know.

4 So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."

Proverbs 21:2
"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart."

Hebrews 4:12
"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

Isaiah 5:21
"Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight!"

Proverbs 26:12
"Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him."

There will be many people who tell us we shouldn't correct or rebuke others. They are living in a culture that is stubborn and arrogant, any form of correction is considered rude, those with prideful hearts will rage at any suggestion that they were incorrect or that they didn't consider the Bible as the source of wisdom.

When a culture believes whatever you want to believe is their truth, then they will not endure correction or rebuke.

Get used to this brothers and sisters. Do not allow the tactics of the devil to cause you to act the way these bullies act. State your case according to the Bible and be determined to be unaffected or unemotional about the response. The response is God's business, we are merely the messengers.

The Plumb Line Has Moved

Very few Christians today want to use the Bible as their plumb line for truth. They are all just doing what is right in their own eyes while attempting to change the Bible to fit that desired belief.

2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
14 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?
15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?
16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,

“I will dwell in them and walk among them;
And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
17 “Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord.
“And do not touch what is unclean;
And I will welcome you.
18 “And I will be a father to you,
And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,”
Says the Lord Almighty.

Paul Reveals His Heart
7 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

James 1:2-8

2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,
8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
