Love is a Conversation not a Confrontation

I find it common now for people to interpret a conversation in terms of what they would do or think but not what the other person actually said or meant.
They also tend to believe things about us and others that they want to believe but is not true at all. And, worse yet they do not want to care enough about one another to find out the truth through listening and asking questions. Everything seems to be confrontational rather than conversational.
When a culture is self-absorbed and barely concerned about others it will tend to make up stories in their own minds that fit with their desired belief, this includes when they read the scriptures if they claim to be Christian.
Christ is not the focus of modern-day apostate Christians, tradition and ritual are the focus because feelings carry more weight than truth.
So many people say silly things like; "I know it's true because of how I feel." They will follow titillating news stories that excite them without ever vetting them. Their desire is to believe something so they follow whatever excites their media senses.
We cannot change what is happening so there is no reason to ruminate on it all too much except to warn people to remain prayerful so as not to become caught up in all of the hype.
When we are walking in sync with Christ every day these things take on a whole new perspective. They are not a threat to us because we have Christ Who stands with us.
We can observe but not absorb as one person said it. Watch the goings on without tracking and looking for it, when it waltzes in front of you, and see it for what it really is, a stage production that has nothing to do with you.
Even the personal attacks of the devil are not about us, they are on him and we have Christ to engage in the battle on our behalf.
Deuteronomy 1:30 "The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes."
Deuteronomy 3:22 "You must not fear them, for the Lord your God Himself fights for you."
These passages were written to the Jews but instruct us about all those who belong to God and Jesus Christ.
Not all scripture was written to us but all scripture was written for us. God's principles never change.
“For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.” Malachi 3: 6.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13: 8.
“But you are the same, and your years will not come to an end.
Psalm 102:27
Hallelujah!

Discernment is Becoming Scarce in our Day of Apostacy
