Embedded in the Brain

Once our mind has been convinced of something, whether good or bad, we become so comfortable with it, no one could do or say anything that would make us change our thinking. Most people live in the realm of personal comfort over truth. If something is uncomfortable for them, they don't question it, they merely accept or reject it based on their personal desires or emotions.

It is important to immerse our minds in the Scriptures, that anything that marches in front of us tha...t is not Biblical will be easily seen, with no chance of making a permanent place in our minds. Why? Because we think with the mind of Christ, nothing that comes against Him would be able to plant itself firmly in our brains when our minds are firmly entrenched in His principles.

Notice that most of our country and the world has accepted the lie that the earth is millions of years old. This has become so embedded in their brains because it is all they have heard since the first day they entered public school at age 6. Then they see this lie in all the natural history museums and in all the documentaries on television. It has become comfortable, to think any other way seems very strange to those who have been trained in it. There are other teachings just like this that many have accepted as truth, but in fact are out and out lies, even some of these lies are in the church.

1 Corinthians 2:16 "For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ."

Romans 8:28-39 "38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

I understand that this verse in Romans 8 is referring to salvation through faith in Christ. However, if Christ can keep us until He comes for us, then He can keep our hearts and minds in righteousness.

Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

God will guard our minds as we seek Him, we will question all that man says to us, through the filter of the Holy Scriptures we will discern good and evil. When we are committed to know the Word of God while asking the Holy Spirit to teach us, then we will not be led into error, if we do become confused, that confusion will be short lived. Christ in us will warn us through promptings that leave us unsettled until He then gives us the answer.
