Going Home Soon for Those Who are in Jesus Christ

Service Without Compassion and Empathy is a Dead Work

Matthew 6:6-8 "…6 But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words, they will be heard. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.…"
Ecclesiastes 5:2
"Do not be quick to speak, and do not be hasty in your heart to utter a word before God. After all, God is in heaven and you are on earth. So let your words be few."
If I never express another prayer to God for my children I don't worry, all the prayers over the past 50 years still count. One more time will not make God do my bidding, His will is in His timing and His purpose.
Sometimes we can become so co-dependent with someone that we think we must pray often for God to hear us concerning them.
Also, we pray with exceedingly intense emotions thinking that will motivate God to do what we want Him to do.
We must pray in God's Will as we are led by the Holy Spirit. All the repeated mantras in the world will not change God's plan or cause Him to force someone to love Him. He will never force anyone, He is the God who loves personal choice.
We all have a choice to follow Him or not, the consequences are dire for those who reject Him, but amazing and wonderful for those who choose to follow Him.
God wants our love, not our obligation to get something for ourselves.
Have you ever been served by someone who does it out of obligation to appease their own conscience, it is an ugly thing. The absence of love is clear and the lack of empathy is deafening. It is a sad existence when someone is infirmed and those who serve them do it grudgingly making those they serve feel like a burden to them.
Have you ever had someone do a nice act for you but it seemed empty as though they were doing it to elevate themselves? Over my many years of life I have seen these things and spoken to people who have encountered them, they all say the same thing, they felt the stress of being a burden to the one serving them. It made their illness a little bit harder to bear and diminished their joy.
Our joy never leaves us when we are infirmed but it can be pushed into the depth so as not to be felt when others lack empathy and kindness toward us and serve us out of obligation.
When we serve others we love to be a blessing to them, it blesses us to see them taken care of during the hard things in their life. We do not care about gaining any prizes or praise for our duty to our brothers and sisters, we love to help, it brings us joy to help.
Proverbs 29:8-10 "…8 He who sows injustice will reap disaster, and the rod of his fury will be destroyed. 9 A generous man will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor. 10 Drive out the mocker, and conflict will depart; even quarreling and insults will cease."
2 Corinthians 9:6
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."
Proverbs 19:17
"Kindness to the poor is a loan to the LORD, and He will repay the lender."
If no one ever knows our kindness our joy is all the fuller because God knows and He is the love we pour out to others.

I find this funny because I meet people like this who think their rage and denial will fix everything.

Sending us Out

God Knows our Deeds and Our Hearts

Revelation: 3:15 - 16
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot.
I wish you were either one or the other!
So, because you are lukewarm.....neither hot nor cold......I am about to spit you out of My mouth."

God wished that we be on fire for Him or a refreshing drink of cool water for those who need it.

Charismatic Christians Twisting Scripture to Justify Their Enjoyment of Ungodly Friends

It is typical, especially for "charismatic Christians" to twist the Bible to justify their enjoyment of unbelievers. I speak to and love unbelievers as Christ loved them, but I do not enjoy their company in continual friendship.
1 Corinthians 2:14
"14 But a natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."
Christ spent time with sinners to call them to repentance, not to socialize with them.
Those who use the Bible to justify sin will say; "Jesus sat with sinners, to justify having ungodly friends. The truth is they enjoy their ungodly friends more than they enjoy the companionship of those who walk with Christ. Look at their constant companions and you will notice their friends have little interest in discussing the things of God. They speak of politics, adventures, and everything but God.
James 4:4-8
"4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
5 Or do you think that the Scripture says to no purpose, “He jealously desires the Spirit whom He has made to dwell in us”?
6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
7 Submit therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Come close to God and He will come close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
Romans 12:2
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.:
Our companions are evidence of our hearts. Those we spend the most time with are those we enjoy.
1 Corinthians 15:33 "Be not deceived: “Evil associations corrupt good manners.”
Those we choose for our close friends will either enhance our walk with Christ because they too love Him. Or they will discourage righteousness by their manipulations because they love the world and do not love Christ. We choose friends we can identify with on the same path.
1 Corinthians 5:6
"Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?"
The group we choose for friends will expose our hearts and will determine our response to life.

Trusting in Christ Every Day for All Things

Jesus Christ is the answer to healing.
We can live in confidence when we have trusted in Christ for our salvation and walk with His Holy Spirit daily.
The emotional wounds inflicted by devilish narcissists are still there just as the wounds remain in the hands of Jesus Christ from when He paid the price for our sin.
But the wounds no longer hurt, they are reminders of things that taught us great lessons. We have not forgotten them but the lessons the injuries taught remain valuable, they are what matured us as we learned to "let go and let God."
Isaiah 53:5
"5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed."
Our inner soul has been transformed and the healing continues until the day we die. Each day we become stronger more able to serve Him.
May we be thankful for all that God brought us through and for the promises for the future. We can trust Him every day for all things.
Hallelujah!!!!
