They Hated Christ Because He Was Good

If a narcissist is angry at you then everything you do will be viewed as foolish and mean. Whatever they are feeling is treated as fact. If they are having a bad day and you are happy, you are being mean because they didn't like that you were happy when they were sad.

Narcissists will judge you as an evil person merely because they are jealous of your joy and peace. This is exactly what happened to Christ. He did only good on this earth, offered healing and forgiveness that would bring people to a relationship with Him, forever healing and peace, but they didn't believe Him. Their sin seemed more fun than the possibility of a life of bliss with Him.

When someone is hell bent on having their own way, they often reject anything that will make their life or eternal experience much better.

Acts 5:38 “And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

First John 3:8 “Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.”

First John 3:10 “By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.”

John 1:12 “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”

Satan is fast at work deceiving people who love their sin and refuse to see God's mercies and truth.

The Tortured Guilty Soul Fights and Argues

When a narcissist rages over a calm response, you know you have injured their fragile ego. Those who are strong without need for the approval of others, there will be no vitriolic reaction to anything. The calm confident person remains under control without even trying. calmness and reason are a natural outpouring of a heart that is steadfastly confident in the Holy Spirit.

What people think of the confident Spirit led person is of no consequences at all. These people cannot be whipped around by emotion or the reactions of others.

When Christ is our continual focus and His principles well known to us, we have no need whatever to be accepted by others.

John 12:42-43 "42 Nevertheless, many of the leaders believed in Him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue. 43 For they loved praise from men more than praise from God. 44 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in Me does not believe in Me alone, but in the One who sent Me.…"

If anyone takes more space in our mind than Christ does then we must consider that we might have an idol. One loves people but not more than they love God. God must come first always above any person on earth.

Matthew 22:36-38 "…36 “Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in the Law?” 37 Jesus declared, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.…"
