Fearful People are Easily Deceived

1 Timothy 6:20 20 "Guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge,"
Isaiah 41:10
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
1 Corinthians 3:18
"18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise."
Fearful people act in ways that devalue the ways of God. They are so much in protection mode that everything they do and say is based on that fear that is ever-present.
When we are not fearful we are fearless, meaning we can move forward in obedience to God whether or not anyone supports us. We have no need to force others into submission or intimidate them because we are secure in the Lord.
When we find ourselves becoming insecure and beginning to fear things in life, the Holy Spirit brings us back to reality and back to confidence in His protection.
We need not fear anything in life when we know all things have a purpose and Christ goes through with us.
There are things that are overwhelmingly frightening, I get that, been there a few times too, but if we pray our way through eventually the fear diminishes even leaves and we can become stronger than we were before.
Never be ashamed that you have feared at times, only be concerned if that fear turns into debilitating worry that pushed communication with God out of our life.
Our first response to our fear is to seek God in the name of Jesus Christ, for His help to get through.
Matthew 7:7-8 " 7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.…"
Ask in the will of God and He will not ignore us. If we do not know what His will is then we must ask for Him to do His will even if we don't understand it.
Romans 8:28
"28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
I am so grateful to God that Christ lives in me and that He is accessible every moment of my life. So many times He has been there for me when no one else was or could be. He is my best friend. Hallelujah!
John 15:15 "
No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you."

Knowledge Alone is not Desirable!

Do not seek to know information about evils God has not called you to do anything about! Seek Him for your calling and leave everything else alone.
Many Christians run around saying this, and saying that, without any attention is given to whether or not they are being called by God to act. They also believe whatever they are reading or watching merely because the people speaking or writing say they are "Christians."
Just "knowing stuff" has no purpose unless the knowledge of it takes us to a place of obedience as led by the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 8:1 "Now concerning food sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes one conceited, but love edifies people."
So many Christians are wearing themselves down emotionally and spiritually by filling their minds with sewage about events in the world that they have no control over or cannot vet to prove it is true.
Ephesians 5:11-13 "…11Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that is illuminated becomes a light itself.…"
When evil passes in front of us we must speak the truth about it, but there is no value in searching for evil to know its details. Once you have seen it because it waltzed in front of you, you can pray about it, but do not look for more to pollute and bring insanity to the mind.
The devil loves to mess with our minds, even bringing news articles we cannot prove are even true. The deception is so intense now, even toward believers, many are being fooled by it. There are probably more false stories on the internet now than true ones. Everything is skewed in one direction or another.
Many years ago when the internet first began most Christians were skeptical about it, they saw it as a disseminator of false news and sensational lies. Brothers and sisters, it still is only now the believers are engaged in it as though everything they read that supports conservatism is absolutely true. This is the great deception God spoke about when He said; "even the elect ( born again believers) will be fooled if it were possible. The original language connotation here is that the elect can be fooled and in a very big way.
Ephesians 5:11
"Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."
The only advice that needs to be given is to go to prayer and ask God for His Will, then do what He says. If you are honest and obedient you will walk away from internet gossip and news stories and spend your time in the Word of God.
If you do this you will be amazed at the level of discernment that returns to you as well as the peace of Christ. Your heart will not be troubled, but will even increase in joy.
There is an addictive aspect to searching the internet for news stories and current events. There is a "dopamine" rush that takes place in the brain causing the reader or listener to want more and more, almost as addictive as any hard drug. It's worse in one way, that is it is much more subtle and getting a fix is so much easier. However, recognizing its addictive nature is more difficult to discern because those who are addicted feel a sense of righteousness in just knowing things.
Break the addiction to internet news, force yourself to read the Bible instead of rushing to the internet. You will be amazed at the wisdom that opens up to you.
May the Lord bless you as you wean yourself off of the internet addiction to information.
