Demonic Battle for the Truth

There is a battle for truth in our day. Devils are coming into the church claiming to be Christians deceiving many to follow their ways. If they cannot get someone to follow them they intimidate and mock hoping to cause the weaker ones to shrink back so as not to oppose them.
The devil lies in the small details to fool people. He makes people think that the details are not important so that those who are not discerning will believe his lies.
He shouts things like; "don't judge" or "no one can know." Those who know the Bible are not fooled by these unbiblical mantras, but the majority of people who say they are Christians are fooled and often.
James 1:16
"Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers."

Enjoying the Simple Life

With the pandemic that forced us to cover our faces, the gas prices keeping us home more and the thread of other birth pangs, God may be showing us to change our desires to simple everyday life things.
It is possible to rock on the porch in a chair smelling the freshly cut grass and the trees, and love every minute of it while praising Him for His provision.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

Deception and Intimidation to Gain Power over others is Wicked and will be Judged

When someone says they are a "Bible-believing church" but follow very little of the commands and principles in God's Word they are apostate.

We are living in the days of 2 Timothy 3 in which many if not most church attenders are not open to the truth from the Bible but want to claim they believe it.

How can anyone claim to be a believer in Christ when they don't know their Bibles intimately? It is not possible to obey what we don't know.

There is a deliberate deception when someone knows they don't know the Bible but uses parts of it sparingly to justify what they wish to believe.

If we say we believe the Bible then we must read it, pray for the Holy Spirit to open the meaning clearly, and obey what He tells us. Using parts of the Bible deceitfully to fool others will bring condemnation upon the one who does so.

Jeremiah 11:3
"You must tell them that this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Cursed is the man who does not obey the words of this covenant,"

The passage in Jeremiah was referring to a command God gave to Isreal, but the principle holds true for all born-again believers. When God speaks we are to listen and obey.

Proverbs 20:17
"Bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be full of gravel."

Those who attempt to gain honor and respect through deceptive means, crooked words, and intimidation will see the chastisement of the Lord.

Apostate Times

We are living in apostate times in which the majority of those calling themselves Christian are not studying their Bibles but will use portions out of context to develop a doctrine God never intended.
I see this all the time, and the people who want to be seen as knowledgable will fight bitterly to defend their lies.
One of the things I have noticed is the tactic of intimidation to control others in the group with their false teachings. These people are playing church making up their own doctrine using words from the Bible while mocking and intimidating those who want Bible truth.
1 John 4:1
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world."
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds."
When one of these false teachers has managed to influence the rest of the group to believe his false doctrine, it is time to leave. Once someone has gained so much power over people that they are intimidated into silence, there is no way for a rational Holy Spirit-led man to bring the group back to the truth.
Silence about sin and deceitful doctrine has caused the ruin of many church gatherings and even individuals within those gatherings. When these false doctrines persist there is an inevitable downfall of the entire gathering. The people who remain become bitter and resentful people without the fruit of the Spirit.
I have seen God remove the lampstand from a gathering that has relegated church to a social club that uses God to justify their sinful attitudes.
2 Peter 2:1
"But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction."
Beware of those who care more about dominating over others than they love them or Christ.
