Ezekiel 47:12
""By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing."
When we are born again, our growth should be steady and constant. We will have growing spurts and lulls at times, but we should continue in a forward progression in holiness and wisdom.
I understand that the passage in Ezekiel was written to Israel and is a future prophesy, however all of God's actions have a lesson for us. When we remain close to Christ daily desiring to walk in His ways, we will progress Spiritually.
May we look to Christ for all matters in this life and glorify Him.
