When the Gift of Tongues Ceased

https://www.bereanbiblesociety.org/when-did-the-gift-of-tongues-cease/

Christ in Us!

God does not dwell in buildings and never told us to build any. Christ dwells in our temple that is our bodies.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.…"

3 FALSE TEACHINGS in CHURCHES you should AVOID

When I Was New To Facebook

My dear friend Trudi shared her first encounters with Facebook and where it led, I want to share mine too.

I deteted mine four times because I thought the things going on there were silly. I ask the Lord why I kept being drawn back to it. I felt compelled by the Holy Spirit. Then one day the Lord said to me, almost audible it was so strong in my head. "Use it for me."

I told the Lord I would do that but I didn't expect anyone to like me or come to see. All family members ignored me and wanted nothing to do with me. I was willing to do it anyway even if no one liked what I posted.

But then the big surprise came. When I told the Lord I was willing to be hated because I expected to be because of my family. The surprise was that all kinds of people I never met came to ask me to be their friend because they were so blessed that I was saying the things they also believe and love to hear. What a blessing to me it was to find so many like-minded people.

Then God opened the flood gates of beautiful loving born again believers who were just like me.

Having been on Facebook for ten years now, I never thought I would stay this long or meet so many lovely people. Some I have even been able to see in person. Others I will have to wait until the Marriage Supper of the Lamb to meet.

Hallelujah for how God works everything out for our good.

Stone Throwers and Their Nonsense

Have you been mocked for spending time on Facebook? Have you been accused of wasting time on Facebook?

God has provided this medium for His children all over the world to be able to connect in praise of Him. We learn, we teach and encourage one another on here every single day.

One Sister called the mockers of our Facebook activity "stone-throwers", in my opinion, an appropriate description.

Here was my response to my friend's description;

"I think the stone-throwers are jealous of our love for one another. I feel sorry for them, they don't know what they are missing!!! The love of our Facebook family is amazing!!"

We have more lovely people who are authentic born again believers on Facebook than we ever could in our communities.

Every one of them is our brother or sister. We will live with them in eternity. How wonderful that God brought us together right before we will meet in person at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Jesus Christ said this to us;

John 15:15
"No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you."

Whiny Babies Buck-Up!

"Face a challenge with courage" or "Tackle the Problem Head-on
Anyone who climbs the wall out of frustration for having to stay at home is a whiny baby. I don't mean to be insulting just encouraging everyone to think like adults. The children will see how you act and become like you.

"More is caught than taught." Our children will learn more from our actions than from our words. If parents are whining all the time about their situation then the children will do it too. If the parents are using this time to be productive and spend time with their children the children will get through this happy, healthy and fulfilled.

I say this because it would take a month to spotlessly clean one's home in every room and the blessing of a clean home would be theirs for the months to follow. The children can help with all these home chores, even perhaps liking it.

Everyone has projects they could do! Just sit for a minute over coffee and imagine the things in your house that could be done that don't cost any money.

Re-organizing closets, mending clothes, reorganizing garages. The Lord knows those garages all need tidying and organizing.

We can make this home time productive with a sense that it accomplished something. Perhaps talk over the fence with a neighbor from 20 feet away.

Be available for the elderly in the neighborhood who cannot get out to get groceries. Check on them by phone.

We Americans speak all the time about those things we don't get done because we are running around doing useless things such as attending ball games and going to the movies.

Just think of how much of the Bible we could read and learn about if we spend only one hour each day reading it. If you read one hour a day, that one hour will turn into more than that because it is so interesting.

And, how wonderful that we don't' have to rush through meals or Bible reading or prayer because we have nowhere we have to be. It's amazing how quickly time passes when you are engaged in something fruitful.

There is nothing accomplished by crying about our plight if one could even call it that.

Just look around your home and you will see things you never thought of that could use some sprucing up. Take as long as you like doing it because you are not going anywhere. How wonderful is that to have no time limit on a project.

If we can see this time as a blessing from God we will not be bored nor will we be unproductive.

Ephesians 5:16
"16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil."

Lastly, remember that non-believers will see our reaction to things and wonder why we have so much joy in the middle of all of this. We will have an answer for them, that is Jesus Christ living in us protects us from an emotional meltdown.

We may not be protected from the virus but our soul belongs to Christ and if we have to pass He will take us home. For the born-again believer, passing is not the end, it is the beginning of our life. For the unsaved passing is a horror, the beginning of a life in hell. Dying is frightening for those who do not know Christ, but for the born-again believer dying is our blessing.

Philippians 2:14-16
"14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing; 15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, 16 holdings fast the word of life so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain."

1 Peter 3:15 "but sanctify the Lord the Christ in your hearts, and be always prepared to give an answer to everyone that asks you to give an account of the hope that is in you, but with meekness and fear;"

Philippians 1:20-21 "20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have complete boldness, so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. "

The Born Again Believers Lose Nothing

The apostate church gatherings are closed now, the authentic believers will continue to worship without the need of human leaders because their leader is Christ Who lives in them. They will worship, sing and praise the Lord in their own homes.

Life will not change much for the born again believer who remains at home. They will still be led by Christ without dependence on leaders who think they are the authority over us.

These born again believer will miss those they gather with every week but know we will see them again soon, either in the gathering when all this mess is over, or in heaven at the marriage supper of the Lamb when we are taken out of here in the rapture.

Matthew 24:39-40 "…39 And they were oblivious until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.…"

Revelation 19:6-9
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb
6 Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,

“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God
the Almighty reigns.
7 Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride has made herself ready;
8 it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”—

for the fine linen are the righteous deeds of the saints.

9 And the angel said[a] to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”

Hallelujah, Hallelujah!!!!
