Just Because it Appears to Work Doesn't make it Right!

It does not please God for us to ignore His principles just because what we see "appears" to work. He can use anything He wants but will discipline those who violate His Word.

It is called "pragmatism", "if it works then its alright to do it." This is not Biblical, we must operate from the principles of God and His commands. Nothing but silliness will prosper in a church that looks to what works rather what is truth.

Proverbs 1:28-33
" “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently but they will not find me,
29 Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the Lord.
30 “They would not accept my counsel,
They spurned all my reproof.
31 “So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way
And be satiated with their own devices.
32 “For the waywardness of the naive will kill them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them.
33 “But he who listens to me shall live securely
And will be at ease from the dread of evil.”"

Words Are Nothing Lifestyle Tells All

1 Peter 5:10
"After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you."

James 1:12
"Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him."

Romans 12:12
"12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,"

Philippians 4:6-7
"6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all [a]comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

James 1:2-8
"2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [b]endurance.
4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,
8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."

Our hope is not in this life or a happy one, our hope is in Christ with His perfect purposes, producing holiness in us and making us fit to share the gospel, not only in words but also in our lifestyle. If our life does not match our words, our words are useless.
