Let the Worship be for Worshipers

When the churches began to use the worship gathering as evangelistic meetings instead of gatherings of believers, the church became filled with pretenders who were made comfortable in their sin. in order not to offend.

IF a preacher is doing his job correctly the sinner would either be so uncomfortable they would leave or they would be convicted of sin and repent to be born again.

The foolish saying; "church is a hospital" was never biblical. The church gathering was for the believers to worship and to be equipped to go out and spread the gospel. There was never any mandate from God to bring unbelievers into the worship gatherings.

We were to go out into the world making converts and bringing the converts back to their new family, that is their brothers and sisters in Christ.

Now we have so many unsaved people pretending to be "Christian" that there are few authentic believers left in the assembly of believers.

Because the modern church has been so focused on the community loving them, they have had to water down their preaching so much the attendees are completely comfortable living in their sin unconcerned about hell or consequences.

We are living in the times of the great apostasy. Most churches follow the example of Rome with a hierarchy that leaves all the thinking to those in leadership while the sheep sit mindlessly in the pews accepting everything coming from the pulpit. And since the pulpit people are dedicated to being liked and paid by their congregation they tend to soften God's Word, even negating it to keep those pews warn and filled.

2 Timothy 4:2-4 "…2Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. 3For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears, they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. 4So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…"
