Idolatry in the Church

Amen, Amen!!! A dear friend brought up the subject in the chat today that the time is so very close to when Christ will come for His church.

I am convinced that we will be having another lockdown as before only more severe, but this time it will create in people a greater dependence on the government.

When people are fearful they are more compliant and ready to latch onto anyone who pretends to save them.

Once the people become used to and have accepted the government as their parent they will be ready to receive the antichrist as their ultimate parent. They will fawn all over him, missing all the blatant clues that he is not on their side as he claims.

It won't matter that he is doing all kinds of evil things because he will be doing false miracles that impress the undiscerning. I believe many people who say they are Christians will be in this number who follow the antichrist.

Matthew 7:21-23 "21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’"

We are seeing many famous and renowned preachers falling into apostasy, even those we could not have believed would do such a thing. They have preached for many years very good things but at the end of their lives, they are supporting wicked things, praising wicked people, and preaching the opposite of what they preached before.

I am convinced that the more popular and well known a preacher becomes the less they hear from God. Their minds become clouded by the popularity even fearful they might lose their popularity. They are falling, one by one almost daily now.

And, sadly these fallen ones retain their elevated status among those who treated them as though they were flawless, like gods that could do no wrong. No one would question anything they do or say anymore, even becoming angry at anyone who dared to expose the things they say and do.

We know false "Christians" will act this way toward the antichrist because they already do when it comes to their favored preacher.

When a preacher cannot be questioned or corrected they have lost their ability to be objective according to the Word of God. They surround themselves with flying monkeys who do their bidding and protect their reputation no matter how badly they have strayed from the truth.

If anyone holds a person in such high regard that there is anger when their favorite preacher is corrected, then there is the worship of that person, they have an idol.

1 John 5:21
"Little children, keep yourselves from idols."
