Because the devil is in charge of all that is going on we are watching decisions being made that are exactly the opposite of what God would want or lessons He would teach.
The mandate from God for the born again believer is to speak the gospel, encourage the believers, and keep ourselves from becoming unstained by all that is happening on the earth. We need Christ to be guiding our every step and to keep us focused on Him.
Most people trust in themselves, in political pundits, candidates, and in military might, but they do not trust in Christ. They trust in the very things and people that God said not to place our trust in, but they do not care what God says, they love their own ideas above the truth of God's Word.
Psalm 146:3-7
3 Do not trust in princes,
In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.
4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth;
In that very day his thoughts perish.
5 How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,
6 Who made heaven and earth,
The sea and all that is in them;
Who keeps faith forever;
7 Who executes justice for the oppressed;
Who gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets the prisoners free."
Psalm 20:6-8 "…6 Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He answers him from His holy heaven with the saving power of His right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. 8 They collapse and fall, but we rise up and stand firm."
The born again believer who trusts only in Christ will have constant peace, guidance, and Spiritual prowess no matter what is going on in the world. Those who understand that we are living in the days of fulfilled prophesy will not be emotionally shaken as the world degenerates all around them.
We cannot trust either politicians, war machines, strategies devised by man, anything, or anyone other than Christ.
It is alright to acknowledge all that is going on in the world, however, to become angry about it is to show a lack of faith and hope in God's promises.
The Jews were saved by God from the Egyptians when He parted the Sea for them to walk across in safety. This is how God works on our behalf today too. We can believe Him and walk in joy and peace every day while the world implodes all around us.
Yes, there are hardships many of us are enduring, but our peace and our joy remain in spite of it. The peace and the joy is seen even through our tears, our hope never fades as we cry out to God for strength.
